Saint's Row The Third

You land it..Then able to customize it or what??

Genkibowl VII coming January 17th!

We've been slowly preparing all of our citizens of Steelport for the opening to Genkibowl VII. You've known that we pre-patched the game. You know the achievements/trophies. Well now it's time to finally find out what Genkibowl VII will be bringing to the city of Steelport.

It is known by many names: “The greatest specatacle in sports," “The most dangerous game,” and “Holy [redacted] I can’t [redacted] believe I [redacted] [redacted].” It is the one, the only, Genkibowl VII!!

A genius in entertainment and mayhem, the man-cat Professor Genki has put together the most watched game show event on TV, Genkibowl VII. But every game show needs a star contestant, and Professor Genki has chosen the leader of the Saints. With the Saints’ reputation for excessive murder and carnage, Steelport’s own Zach and Bobby (of Murderbrawl fame) will give the play-by-play commentary with their newest colleague, Tammy Tolliver.

As a special surprise, the Professor has allowed his very own Genki Girls to theme the new games after themselves. Sail through the skies with Sad Panda Skyblazing. Fight through dark, shark-infested jungles in Angry Tiger’s Apocalypse Genki. And crush your way to victory in Sexy Kitten Yarngasm. But don’t forget to help Professor Genki maintain his excitement before any public appearances in Super Ethical PR Opportunity.

Available for download on January 17th on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Steam, GenkiBowl VII will feature such mind-bending games as Sexy Kitten Yarngasm, Sad Panda Skyblazing, Apocolypse Genki, and Super Ethical PR Opportunity. The first downloadable mission pack for Saints Row: The Third, Genkibowl VII is included with the Saints Row Season Pass, and promises to mostly if not completely blow your mind. For this is Genkibowl: Where ridiculous happens.

Remember to download it from within the game if you bought the Season Pass, otherwise it will ask you to buy the DLC again.

No, I know that, I meant so I could have the ability to customize it lol. I already owned it.

Ah, sorry. No, sadly you can't customize the S.T.A.G. vehicles. You can mess with some of the military ones, though. I keep a custom Bulldog with the turret on it.

So...you can make Catwoman in this? Atleast, that tv advert clip shows Catwoman.

I was just doing "Three Way" for the first time and came across an insanely annoying glitch. I'm wondering if it's common, or am I just really unlucky? It happened at the worst possible time. Details follow for those who've played it:

I chose to go after Killbane and ended up blowing up his plane. The cut scene followed and my character was set to duke it out with Eddy. I hit him twice, he fell down dead and then I couldn't do anything. I *could* continue kicking him over and over again, but that was it. I couldn't even move from the spot I was standing in, aside from changing direction.

Eventually I had to quit out and when I reloaded it took me all the way back to before I'd started the mission. Suffice to say, this was pretty annoying. In fact, in all my years of gaming I've never had a glitch pop up at a worse time...I really don't feel like doing ALL of that again, even though it was fun the first time.

Has this happened to anyone else?

This game is ruining my life. I play it non-stop. I've only gotten one hour of sleep three days ago and had to go to work, less than five hours two work days ago, and about five hours yesterday, a work day. All three days I fell asleep at work and dreamed about Saints Row. I don't dream about video games like that! I got to work late yesterday because of Saints Row. When I got home this yesterday off work at 1am, I played from 1am until 12pm...I only stopped playing and finally went to sleep because my PS3 froze on me (thank god for autosave AND I was NOT in a mission). I choose NOT to sleep or eat so I could play Saints Row, so I hadn't slept since 9am yesterday (and had to wake up at 2pm) and I hadn't eaten since 6pm.

I do not play PS3 games like this. In fact, I find games like these unappealing. I am NOT into casual games (like iPod games or Wii-Soccer-Mom-games) but I do play games casually. I'm also not a fan of Grand Theft Auto games, and I've grown tired of all these mature-ish, serious, violent games (Gears of War, God of War) or games that try to cater only to the so-called cool, adult crowd (Uncharted). I'm happy with fun and fantastic games in the Mega Man, Metroid, Castlevania, Kirby, SoulCalibur ranges...a varied sort of gamer. And again, I hardly EVER (EVER EVER EVAH) play a game on my PS3 (and never on 360). So why on earth am I playing my PS3 non-stop, addicted to this type of game? What is happening to me?!

I got this game a little over a week ago. When I 1st played it, I only popped it in my system and played for about two missions. Then I didn't go back to it for several days. About four days ago, I sat back down with it and played again. In addition to the lack of sleep and eating, I've gotten up to Rank 40, I'm nearing the end of the game, and I've done all the side missions on my cellphone...I've found a lot of collectables. And I've prepared a second save file to replay from the beginning again. There is no reason why I should be behaving this way. There is something wrong with me.

OK, and as soon as I posted that? Guess what?

I got up after posting that post above, went to get something to drink. I was supposed to play Left 4 Dead 2 with my roommate, but since I slept over 12 twelve hours today (after my PS3 crashed on me...from playing too much Saints Row...see above posts), he had to go to sleep, so I decided to...play some more SR.

There's a glitch in the game where late into the game the GPS systems starts to fail. Because of this glitch I've stopped driving to my destination and go everywhere in the VTOL. But LOW AND BEHOLD! My GPS, for whatever reason, is working again, so I headed over to Saints HQ via car to begin the Three Way mission (I would've started that mission sooner had the system not froze earlier). I get about 50 feet from the destination marker and...

I FIND Prof. GENKI! The mascot host of that Japanese Murder Fun-Kill Show. The game hardly ever spawns him in your area, and he's very easy to miss. In fact, the chances of the game spawning him and a player noticing him (when driving through the streets very quickly or when flying) are extremely low. Killing him is worth 300,000 bucks. I was afraid I was never going to get to kill him before I reached the games end. I feel really happy! I go right back to playing again and I find his rare-self right outside my penthouse!

Finished Saints Row. [BLACKOUT]Did not care for the finale. Gangstas in Space was disappointing.[/BLACKOUT]

I thought it was hilarious. :o The story was pretty weak overall, though I still haven't seen the other ending. And you're lucky dude, I only saw Genki twice... first time was during Tank Mayhem, second time I had the Morning Star and the cops coming after me. I managed to kill him but I didn't get the cash. :(

Anyways my character by day...

And by night...

Yea, you clearly exhibit the symptoms of bad taste. I don't think there's a cure.

The game lets you take both ending missions :wow: The alternate route (find Killbane) had the better resolution.

You may have to contact THQ and see if they can use your quote in an ad for the game. They'd think it was satirical when in fact it's.....real. :csad:

Somehow I think you're addressing me. If so...what quote? I've posted, like four times on this one page.

As long as THQ lets me appear in a commercial where I Hadoken someone into a wall and slamdunk a basketball, sure, I don't mind.

I didn't even know killing Genki would give you cash, I was just compelled to murder him when I saw him wandering the streets. I was even more committed to the cause when it seemed like he would not die lol. I think I snapped his neck five times and he kept getting up. I was starting to get scared. :o

I feel bad because I rented this from Gamefly when it was first released and I loved it. It was the perfect kind of game for me and I finally bought it last month after finally seeing it on sale. But I haven't played it at all since I got it. I still think its awesome, but I just haven't been able to find the time to complete it 100%.

Im only now starting to play my copy after owning it for 2 months. This game is great. I see what people mean now when they compare it to San Andreas. The controls are so much tighter and better than SR2, which I couldnt get into. So far everything just seems perfect about it. There's so much to do and its crazy over the top fun.
