sandman is a villian but not a monster villian, not a threat to the entire world, he is poor and needs money. marko is a criminal, when he killed uncle ben he did not choose to kill him. he must have had no choice but to shoot him and take the car to get away.

that's where you're wrong. when someone kills someone they don't just say "hey, i'm gonna murder this guy without me making a choice."

someone killing someone is a direct choice. doing bad is a choice... not habit.
