Something I always found weird was How Riggs died. I mean he got shot what in the stomach, by Eric right as we was coming through the doors. And soon later the cops come in and find everyone. Would you die that quickly if you were shot in the stomach? Again atleast that's where I thought he got shot. It could have been higher like maybe in the chest I dont know.
I mean he had enough strength to pick up the gun and shot Art in the head. Then all of a sudden he passed out and died?
The general consensus is that being shot in the stomach isn't an automatic death sentence, like say, being shot in the chest where your most vital organs are (lungs and heart). However, without prompt treatment, you WILL die, albeit a slow and agonizing death (stomach acids spilling into the torso cavity, bodily waste and broken down food from the stomach/intestines/liver/kidneys will cause severe infection, etc). If he didn't get medical help, he'd be dead in a couple of hours.
This was arguably the best Saw Sequel of them all. I think finally these two new writers have gotten the grasp of what makes Saw what it is as opposed to Hostel (which is just torture porn I guess) The script was very good with nice characterizations and terrific twists and turns. The acting is on point all around, with not a single bad performance. This is also one of the best directed of the series too, and Kevin Greutert should be proud of his great transition from series editor to director. I'd have to say right now the Saw series is this for me.
Wow, I have to say this is one of the most impressive Saw sequels in a long time. Probably the third best in the series. I really dug Williams game and story and was probably the most emotionally gripping one in quite awhile. Also, Tobin Bell's flashbacks didn't feel forced this time. They felt very natural and they gave a lot more light into John Kramer's background. This is probably the least gory of the six, and I guess that could be good or bad. I didn't particularly care either way.
Also, holy crap was Hoffman incredible bad ass in this one.
The way he killed Erickson and Perez was incredibly bad ass. Also his escape from Jill's trap was pretty awesome, I'm actually pretty glad he escaped. I'm going to guess that in the next movie he'll be trying to get revenge on Jill?
I kind of wish Williams would have survived, I really enjoyed his character. But I guess it's possible that his sister will play a part of the VII movie. Other than Hoffman going after Jill, something with Pamela and possible new cops investigating the fire and deaths of Erickson and Perez, I'm not sure where they could go with this now.
Also, I'm pretty impressed with the revelation of the letter Amanda read. Something that occurred three movies ago and is addressed with an event that happened in the fourth movie. These writers really do pull everything together. I thought it was clever.
Overall, I liked this more than the past three Saw movies. I'm kind of excited (albeit skeptical) of the VII installment. Also, it'd be kind of nice if there was a way to see all the flashbacks through out all the movies in some sort of time line. I'm still deciding if this deserves a 7 or 8 out of 10. Best to least: Saw, Saw II, Saw VI, Saw III, Saw IV, Saw V
I think this has been the best written story to date... i mean saw 1-3 had its own trilogy feel... But 4-6 has been all about Hoffman... which isnt even concluded.

I know it was debunked a while ago but im now beginning to wonder if it was a red herring...
I believe that Dr.Gordon has become a deciple of Jigsaw... and we will only see him when they make the final saw!

Hoffman is now 100% awesomeness. I'm wondering how Saw VII can follow this. What can they do now? (Then again I said the same thing after Saw III, and now look at VI)
I think the best way to top this is as follows... In Saw 7, we learn that Hoffman has to attone for all his sins as Jigsaw has set up a game for him. The story is as follows... John Kramer had two assistances Amanda & Hoffman. However he knew the truth about both of them and set about testing both... Amanda's test was during Saw 3 and Hoffman's proper test will be the theme of Saw 7... Jill is almost about to walk away from this legacy but she has one more task to do... which is to help the new Jigsaw... yes John had another apprentice, one who survived his game... Dr.Gordon - By the end of saw 1 - Dr.Gordon was rescued by John after Dr.Gordon managed to cut his foot off and crawl out of the room. The body of Dr.Gordon was never found and is still missing... why no investigation? because... Hoffman tried to frame Gordon for the Jigsaw murders to take the heat of him. But the reality is that John was seaking a true apprentice to take on his legacy... Dr.Gordon was favoured by John because of the length he took to survive. Something Amanda and Hoffman never did. This caused a Rift and Hoffman tried to take over... But John knew he would probably be stabbed in the back by Hoffman so created the ultimate game for him... He must attone for his sins. all Seven of them! Now Dr.Lawrence Gordon is Jigsaw and his first test subject is Hoffman...
I'm seeing this tomorrow. Got some free tickets, so that makes it easier to see. For the record I own all Saw movies, but I've only seen part 3 in theaters, so this will be cool a bit to watch while it's still out.
Alot of people seem to be liking this , I'm just trying to get around to it this weekend . I want to see it , I bought the 5 saw movies at walmart for 20.00 ..good deal , I think so.

The ending of this movie has to be one of the best that I have seen in quite some time. I have always waited for Hoffman to die, but when he was in that trap at the end, I was like, "Hell no, I hope he survives!" It was just so tense. Damn he's a smart ass character.
I saw this last night with three other people. It was great & it did have actual real closure to these movies & explained alot of stuff. But we all also agreed that it should be the last since we pretty much know the whole story now

I have no problem with David Hackl directing Saw VII, but I tell you if Saw VIII is the last one, I'd love for Kevin Greutert to direct that. The man did a really good job here. Scenes had tension and nerve, dialogue scenes had good acting, and he kept the finger off the trigger as much as you can when directing/editing a Saw movie when it comes to reaction shots and dialogue scenes, for example
The mad look on the woman's face as she is chopping her arm off is startling, and he stays on it for longer than I expected, and also the way they build up to the family's decision of whether to kill William or not
Also in my opinion this uses archive footage of the past films to put an exclamation point on the story better than all the rest, especially in the end.
I liked the fake out of making you think Perez was dead, only to bring her back to kill her off. I was kinda angry about that. Its like if you knew he was the killer, why would you do all that stupid stuff they did?
Saw VI is alot better than I expected . I'm usually not that interested in the main storyline involving the victim being tested but this actually made alot of sense and was engaging. They could of ended it here as it provided closure so it will be interesting where they go from here. There were some unintentionally hilarious moments(like the woman left behind) , some very brutal moments , good twists ,
and I like how the usual saw mtv editing was more restrained this time.
