Say Something Positive About a Film You Hate

The Star Wars prequels were horrible but had an AMAZING score. Even better than the original in my opinion.

Williams always brings it even if Lucas didn't.

It's likely because of this epic box office and critical failure that FOX will never b@stardize this franchise again.

Nothing more positive then that.

When Starscream was killed in Dark of the Moon. God what an annoying character. His life was completely devoted to something he hated (Megatron). It was just pathetic.

Weaver did a good job in Alien3 and I liked how it was back to one Xeno

Starscream didn't hate Megatron, he simply wanted to rule and Megatron was in his way.

In IDW's ongoing comics Starscream now does rule Cybertron.

It was proven that despite all the hate he gets StarscreamWasRight!

The Phantom Menace : Liam Neeson, the only reason to watch that rubbish.

Batman Begins had a nice soundtrack and Batman suit.

Superman IV : the Quest for Peace , Gene Hackman, the only reason to watch that embarassing entry.

I can think of just one other

Mark Strong was a great Sinestro too bad it was in awful movie

I feel like the standard of comic book movies had gotten so high it was becoming difficult to please fans.

At least Fantastic Four re stabilised expectations.

I agree. Who would have thought in 2015, a comic book movie would always be scrutinized, hoping it will be held in high regards & always be in contention for 1 of the years best.

Hitman: Agent 47: It'S just a shame. The only reason for me to watch this film is because of Rupert Friend.

Shame; Friend is a good actor. I wish he hadn't signed onto that crap. I hope his career doesn't take a dive because of it.

I hated the execution of the scene so much. I mean, in theory, it's okay. Pete is kind of a geek, so OF COURSE that's what his "dark side" would look/act like, but the whole sequence is... blagh.

The problem I have with that scene is that's not "dark side" Peter. When I think of Peter being influenced by the black suit, I think of him spending more time as Spidey, being more violent with the criminals he finds, ignoring his friends/family. When he's hunting Sandman and the fight they have in the sewers, that's black suit Spidey, not doing he's best Saturday Night Fever impression.

After the last 17 or so years, there are some fans who have become spoiled. There was a time not so long ago when fans of comics wondered if we would ever seen anyone but Superman and Batman on film. Now there are comic book fans who explode on a film if it doesn't meet their every intricate wish. I'd rather live with the occasional cinematic dud than live through the time of disposable TV movies and straight-to-DVD trash again.

Agreed. We're in a golden age, and I hope the bubble doesn't burst. As much as I love what Marvel has done, I hope their competitors attempts to replicate their success don't push us towards that inevitability.

I think these movies will peak at some point. Not sure they will film as many as they do in a given year like they do now. But I don't think Superhero movies will fall by the way side either.

No mention of the costume and the way Spidey moves?
Those are two things the movie definitely nailed.

Honestly I didn't care for the suit change. In fact I wish they kept TASM1 suit.

I never hated TASM1 suit. It looked different enough from Raimi's so it could stand on its on while at the same time still resembling Spidey.

TASM2 suit felt too much like fan service and I hate fan service like that. If you nail the characters and story, fans won't care for stuff like that.

Look at The Dark Knight. Regarded as the best comic book film of all time but Bale's suit is nowhere near as great as Batfleck's. Jack looked more like Joker then Heath. Two-Face's origin was different & actually Shoemaker did it faithful in Batman Forever, as short as it was he had Maroni do it. Joker himself didn't have the Red Hood origin nor did he have a chemical bath.

All of this BUT the film is great not for what it lacks but for what it shows and gives us. Putting plot & characters over fan service. TASM2 suit was great but unneeded.

The scene in Batman and Robin where Mr. Freeze was making his goons sing the Snow Miser song was actually funny.
