That whole scene is a callback from X2. I was thinking the whole time. There are many callbacks in fact, and not just in music.

I watched X2 a few days ago and although I really love First Class(and I like the score for that one), I forgot how much I liked John Ottman's score.

Same. I'm going to buy it as well. I never buy Digital stuff unless it will only ever be available that way. Just something about having a CD or Vinyl in your hand.

Not gonna lie, I got a little teary eyed with a big smile when the X2 theme came on. That really made my entire night.

PS-Is it just me, or does Hope (Xavier's Theme) sound a little too much like Inception's Time?

The soundtrack is AWESOME! I Love the use of the X2 theme and it is not just used for the main titles, it is subtly used throughout the score and the end credits. I thought the Charles Xavier theme was really good too and some parts of his theme remind me of Inception "Time".

Either I missed it, but some people said they heard the Magneto theme from First Class in the film, but I haven't heard it yet in the score. Has anyone else found it?
