Scream 4'? Keep on Dreaming... Scream? Now We're Talking

People are complaing about this and I agree. BUT...

Batman came out in 1989.
The reboot, prequel, remake or the 'Chris Nolan/Chris Bale' version came out in 2005 and 2008.

Think about that one while you guys are eating some noodles and odldes at dinner.:o

Well, that was something that needed to be re-done. While this one is still perfectly fine. And just wanna hop ontot he bandwagon.

I thought Bat and Robin won best film at the MTv Awards? :o under the 'best film if you are drunk or high' catagory.

I don't even need to wait until dinner...

You are comparing two totally different franchises.

Batman is more of an adaptation of previous source material. You are talking decades and decades of writers, artists, and filmmakers doing their own interpretation of the character through books, comics, television, and film.

The Scream franchise is totally self-contained. It's not like other artists outside of the originators are clamoring to do their own spin on the characters/story.

Wow, did not see that reply coming.

So, I guess your Batman logic is the same as your Superman logic? and is it true that every Bond film is just a reboot? Or did Casino Royale reboot that franchise?

Yes, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, (insert whatever word you like in this space)-Man are all easily rebootable.

Bond and Doctor Who are in the same boat as well. Long storied franchises that have lasted decades, in all forms of media.

Thankfully, they are also (for the most part) kept under tight reins by their respective license holders, so we don't get, say for example, a new Batman EVERY other year to wear people out.

Yes, just what we needed. As f we needed a remake of a film that's 13 years old.

Where is the REMAKE talking coming from?

REBOOT people..RE-DUCKING-BOOT!!!

Is it really a reboot with Dewey coming back ? The killer could go after their kid(s) due to them being some of the original survivors

Since when does a slasher film become announced as a trilogy. They basically just go for as long as they can .

That wasn't true with Scream, all three Scream movies grossed more than any other horror films and they ended it with 3. They could've kept going.

The only difference with Scream is that they tied up Sydney , Gale and Dewey's lifes by the end of Scream 3. If Neve was to be in 4 she would most likely be killed in the first scene. They could of kept going but decided to move on. Now they are back with this property and announcing it as a trilogy , i don't get it. We get a new girl being chased around for three movies. A big factor was the reveal at the end. The did alot with the first three and now will have to up the ante. It's just weird that everyone expects a trilogy.

I never saw the movies past the original. and even then...I barely remember what happened to the characters. That said, I think it is really stupid they are rebooting the franchise. But...I am anticipating the reboot of Up!

Are they serious? There's no need for this. Hell, there was no need for a Scream 4.

Pssshhhh....please :whatever:

Its ALL about the Transformers 2 remake! Transformers 2 remake for summer 2011!

All I gotta say is good god. Really a Reboot or remake of a film that's only 13 years old? Just do what they did in the 80's make endless sequels. I think the movies are still fresh enough for sequels and don't need a remake like alot of the film films that got them needed it.

HAHA! You D-Bag! I told you about this 3 days ago and you said "not likely, maybe Scream 4 but not a remake"

Who has two thumbs and is always right?

*this guy*

if they do reboot it it better be as funny as the first one of the best comedies/parodies of any genre

thats what made it different when it came out though - if they reboot it and its not a parody whats the point? why not rename it generic slasher film with ghostface

Wes Craven said that it isn't a reboot. It is a follow-up, but with basically an entirely new cast, and only the Arquettes returning. You can check it out Bloody Disgusting.

They should just restart Scream and all of the pathetic films that were released as part of that "new horror" genre of the late 90's-early 2000's and call it:

I Still Know Why You Screamed Last Summmer About Urban Legends of The Faculty on Your Way to the Final Destination.
