Yeah it happens in real life, but I can't take stuff like that seriously that is on the horror movie genre side. When I watch certain movies, I rather take the antagonist or antagonists in them 'seriously'.

You went in prejudging it, so I'm really not surprised.
I only rate and review movies after I've seen them. I have never seen a movie and gave it a bad or good grade based on expectations. For you to imply that is both insulting and very, very unfair.

I could say that I'm not surprised that you liked this badly acted, poorly written, horribly unoriginal, pretty boring movie just because you were looking forward to it. But that would be stupid because I don't assume things like that just because you thought that it looked good.

it seems as though you can't take people disagreeing with you. That's sad and odd.

Just got done seeing it and loved it and everyone in the theater seemed to like it aswell. Even my friends who havent really watched the first trilogy enjoyed it.

The second time makes me...

Even sadder about Kirby. There's even little moments with Sid and her where she seems to be capable of being the new lead/Sid.

The moment in the classroom at Cinema Club, her moment with Sid where Sid says if you can't trust him don't let him in. Hell, she's even the first of the new generation we see. And even her moment with Charlie where she finally takes notice of him right before he offs her seemed similar to Billy and Sid's sex scene in some ways.

I felt the same way!
I was hoping they were just going to have her in a coma or in critical condition like Sid. Hayden did a better job then I was expecting her to do and totally loved her character.

But I have no idea how they would plan out a new trilogy with this film considering all that went down.

Scream 4 is many things but poorly acted and boring? Yeah I don't think so.

She liked Single White Female: The College Years aka The Roommate, so it's kinda ironic to see her say that about a movie starring a cast that either proved themselves in this or other films/TV series. Hell, this film has an Oscar nominated actress and an Oscar Winner in it for ****s sake. They might be in small roles, but most horror franchises can't claim that in their FOURTH movie.

Concerning Kirby:
I think if the word is spread enough...if a Scream 5 is made, she will be in it. Everyone who was dead was clearly dead except for Kirby. Dewey never took Kirby's pulse like he did for Robbie. There is an open possibility that she could be alive or dead. It's up to the writers.

This is true.

I had to edit that I forgot while Mary McDonnell was only nominated. Anna actually fricking WON an Oscar.

Ya its a possibility but I doubt it.

and concerning the hospital scenes
I can only guess that the constant rewrites is what made all sense go out of the window with no doctors being around, Sid being from critical condition to being 80% fine.

Though I at first I thought that Dewey suspected that everything taht went down in the house was shady so he was setting her up when he told her that Sid was on critical condition to see what she would do. But of course it didnt turn out that way.

But even the entire cast in this made me feel like I was in the 90s again since majority of the actors are from current popular tv shows just like the huge fad in the late 90s with a lot of them being from tvland.

She or he didn't disagree with my opinion of the film. He or she said that I didn't give the film a chance when I saw it and thats not true. I was defending my self against a lie. I don't care if you disagree with my opinion.

Also, I didn't know that this thread was only for people who loved the movie?

It's really, really pathetic for someone to bring up the fact that I enjoyed a silly ripoff of an old movie to prove that my opinion of Scream 4 is wrong.

Anyway, you can continue to lick eachother's asses for all I care. I'm not going to stop writing my opinion just because it conflicts with yours.

My sister and I were bored so we went to go see it. I think she disliked it more than I did but I did dislike it. It's not quite as bad as scream 3 but it's still not very good...at all.

Did you like Scream 1 and 2, ISS?

I love Scream (I consider it a horror classic)

I like Scream 2 (although it's not as good as I thought it was when I first went to see it in 97)

I hate Scream 3

I'm surprised someone that liked the first two wouldn't enjoy this.

Went to see it this evening and loved it. Cant wait to add it to my collection.

Yeah me too. Considering it's the same writer, same director, same cast, and hell IMO it connects better to the first one than two did.

i saw it today it was ok. way better than 3. slightly better or as good as 2. The first one is a classic, and this movie doesn't work without it...or the others for that matter. But the whole time I was thinking of just how great the first Scream was, that I wasn't really buying into Scream 4. The movies became so campy they can't be taken seriously. This one is no exception. If they had used this storyline in the first place, instead of Scream 3, this would have been a nice trilogy. But anyway...Scream fans will go either way with this one...if you only liked Scream, you'll probably like this no more than 2 or 3 or not at all. If you liked all the Screams...hell you're going to love this! Me...I'm a fan of the characters at this point, and the fact that they got Williamson, Wes, Campbell, Cox and Arquette back...not to mention Hayden P looking beautiful the whole movie it was enough for me to check it out...It was ok with me...didn't make me near as angry as Scream 3. I'm actually open to the idea of more believe it or not after seeing this one.

oh and I thought the
"**** Bruce Willis" line from Anthony Anderson was stupid but possibly a nod to his "**** George Lucas" line in Urban Legend 2 or am i reaching?

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but let's all stop with the harsh words if you please. "Licking eachother's asses" is one of those things.

As in general, we can all disagree and our emotions can get in the way and it's a knee jerk reaction, but let's be reasonable when we're discussing our opinions. Some people loved it like myself, others didn't. That happens with every movie. Just because a certain group loves a movie when another hates it or vice versa doesn't mean we can't be reasonable.

No one's opinion here is pathetic. Nor is it right. We either agree or disagree with our opinions and we're free to discuss it how we please. There's nothing wrong with some debate, but we're all adults here. No need for something to get out of hand because of a disagreement in opinion.

What a bloody good time! I just got back from seeing it and really really enjoyed it. The final reveal of the killer was such a WTF for me though. Other than that I really loved it. Well done!!!
