13 fresh&10 rotten so far=57% Rotten!,But I don't even care IF it goes beyond 60% cause not every critic is a horror fan or even a Scream fan and that turns to biased negative opinions in there reviews and same with fanboys with best scoring as possible.

I think I'll end up enjoying it based on stuff I've seen&read(interviews/spoilers/story and of course positive reviews)and so that's what matters to me!

I hope it ends up somewhere around the 70-75% mark.

I can see it stopping at 65% the most. It doesn't bother me at all. Critics are Nazis when it comes to horror films.

Yeah but look at the first 2 Screams, they got an 82% score and, well, Scre4m its not suposed to be your typical horror film.

I think what Scream 4 suffers from, judging by what most the negative reviews say, is that a lot critics just think it was unnecessary or just simply a rehash. Kind of like a "been there, done that" mentality.

I personally think it's gonna be awesome. But I have enjoyed all the other films immensely.

^^ I couldn't have said it better. new decade new rules can apply to the real life reaction to Scream 4 as well.

I'm not even focused on the Rotten Tomatoes score. I've never understood why anyone would take the word of another person over seeing something with their own eyes and forming an opinion for themselves.

The first Scream initially started off with TERRIBLE reviews and it wasn't until audiences started flocking to see it that the buzz around it changed.

^^ Exactly. I pretty much ignore everything RT says. Basing your views on a film from a website is complete BS, IMO.

Let's also note the fickle nature of critics again. Halloween, the film that STARTED the whole Slasher genre's promience and popularity in horror also had TERRIBLE reviews until people took it upon themselves to see it.

The last thing you want to trust the opinion of critics about is horror movies. They will change their opinions on them in a heartbeat if audiences take to them in a special way like they did the first Scream and Halloween, and hell even Exorcist.

I'm pretty sure Paranormal Activity wouldn't have gotten it's good reviews had it not been for the whole ''YOU DEMAND IT." set up.

^^ Yeah, agreed. Friday the 13th was called terrible. Hell, Sean S. Cunningham was called despicable, yet, people still love the Friday The 13th films, including myself.

I just hope we beat that damn Rio movie for number 1. I can not condone any movie children's movie or not that subjects people to George Lopez, Will.I.Am. and Tracy Morgan all in ONE movie being the number one movie in the country.

I really don't think Rio looks that good at all. I was kind of baffled when it was called as good as Toy Story 3 or somthing like that. I mean, I should see it first, but i just don't get a "Toy Story 3 greatness" vibe from it. Toy Story 3, IMO, was fantastic.

I curse Armond White everyday I see Toy Story and Toy Story 2's perfect 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, then little troll just had to give Toy Story 3 a bad review so it's

100, 100, 99.

The movie looks so bleh and bland from both an animation and story standpoint. Just a really generic and forgettable kids film.

Which means it will break 100 mil in two weeks.

Last year was actually a good year for children's films and animation, so it stands that this year would be a terrible one. Hell even Pixars has taken the year off with a sequel to probably their worst movie.

I think I'm out of this thread until after I see the movie on Friday. Don't want a single thing spoiled for me. See you guys in here on Friday.

Just came from it. It wasn't bad, but in the end I didn't really care for it that much. Better than 3, prolly. Well, definitely I'd say. But yeah, stays behind 2.

2 / 5, I suppose. It's "meh ok".

I don't think there'll be a part 5. I don't see this going anywhere. First was a satire of slashers, second was sequels (and blacks in slashers), third was self-satire/parody, fourth is remakes (and little bit of "found footage/mockumentary"). What could 5 do? Part 5s? Plus, they killed everyone except the original cast. Why the **** would anyone haunt Sidney anymore? This one was "clever" enough with the fame-jealous cousin.

If they wanted to do no. 5, I think they should have ended the 4th with Jill being taken to the ambulance, while she was smiling at the reporters. Roll credits. That would have left Sidney dead, and 5th one would have made more sense with Jill. Someone coming after her, or she killing more people to maintain her fame status.
