Scream 4!!!!! - Part 4

I know it tied back into the whole discussion about Bruce Willis being the only movie cop who always lives, but it just felt awkward and very Scary Movie like. It didn't help that they had an actor from that series deliver it. Lol.

^^ Lol, true. I loved the sene though. I had to hold in my laughter for a few minutes afterward.

That Bruce Willis line was my biggest complaint (not bad if that's the biggest complaint). Just seemed unnecessary and wasn't funny. I can't believe that made the cut.

Everything else about Perkins death is perfect though. The brutal stab, the bleeding, the stumbling, Ghostface just watching it all go down, if he had just fallen and not said anything, it'd have been amazing.

It makes me wonder if they thought it need that comedy line to cut the tension and get past the MPAA?

I agree about the Gay line, though. That did seem to work for me (still a little awkward) given the discussion about gay being the new virgin in horror movies. The Bruce Willis line ... just horrible.

Speaking of Scary Movie actresses. I would lol forever if Anna Farris ever cameo-ed in a Scream 5 or 6.

Her and Jennifer Love Hewitt would probably both make me go ''Wait, you're in the wrong movies!"

Thats the only thing I can think as well , because it was pretty brutal. Such a great scene really made the line stick out like a sore thumb

Seeing them killed off in the opening would bring a smile to my face, lol.

Completely agree - Loved the scene up until that line.

You might have a point about the rating.

It'd have been fun to see them in Anna and Kristen's roles, and I'm a HUGE fan of both those actresses, and flipped a wig when I saw they were making cameos in Scream 4, but that would've taken the meta to a whole other level to have those two girls being played by Anna and Jennifer.

Yeah, true. Speaking of the opening, I still think Scream 4's opening is one of the best of the franchise.

I really enjoyed Scream 4's opening.

My only problem with it is I wish we had gotten to know Marnie and Jenny a little more.

This will make me go see this or not so answer carefully:

Does Anthony Anderson die?

[blackout]I'm going then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/blackout]

The Bruce Willis line was funny, and the Scream franchise has always been about juggling horror and comedy so... good line.

Anyway, I don't usually like chicks with short hair, but Kirby can get it.

Id love to hear KW's opinion of the film . This debate is silly . The only scene that reeks of of Kruhger is the Anthony Anderson Bruce Willis moment

that and the [blackout]Wait, wait, I'M GAY![/blackout] line. But I thought the line I just blacked out was hilarious and one of my favorite in the film.

I'll put it this way the [blackout]opening deaths, Olivia, Kirby and ending(s) felt like Williamson. Rebecca, the deputies and Robbie's deaths felt like Kruhger. Of those the only one that felt lame was Rebecca's, which was poorly conceived.[/blackout]

My thoughts on which death scenes felt like which writer. In the end it still made for a very strong movie.

I personally think the gay line was Kevin's. I mean I loved it. Robbie's about to bite it, and then out of the blue, "Wait, wait! If it makes any difference, I'm gay!" It's that right balance that Williamson is able to do.

The Bruce Willis line was more likely Kruger's, but **** it, I liked the line.

"So they only way to survive this is if you're... gay."

Loved the line.

Rebecca actually felt more Kruger like to me. She just reminded me of Parker Posey from the third. And some of her lines felt Kruger like.
