SDCC 2007- DC Comics Edition.

Da fock?! Power Boy as a hero? Or are they really setting the "there's always a traitor in the Titans" cliché in such an early and visible manner? I guess DC is going for their own Pym.:o

he was never shown to be a bad guy.. other then that "forcing" himself on Supergirl thing.. he was after all a titan in 52..

He might be a good guy as long as he stays 100 feet away from supergirl :P

Padding that post count, eh? We don't know what he did as a Titan. We don't know how "good" he was. Where's Little Barda? Was she a victim of his obsessive behavior? There was a scene in the Supergirl comic that leads us to believe that he was "pulling an Orion" by making himself look better than he really does by using a box. So, really, we have more reasons to suspect him than to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Meh, the characters mostly suck or I'm indifferent to them, and Winick's name is no longer one to inspire confidence.

I'm extremely disappointed. I was expecting an adult Titans team with Nightwing, Donna Troy, Cyborg, etc. Not this crap. PASS!

Yeah, I'd love a renewed Titans team with those characters. I thought that was the whole point of freeing Nightwing up from the Outsiders. :(

Why waste his talent on a comic that's already clearly going to suck?

All these "estates" are filled with money grabbing greedy ****es that are living off the legacies of their husbands, dad, grandfathers etc and have done nothing to deserve any of what they get. It's the same with the Kane estate.

In the Siegel's case, it's the same as reparations. Just because he didn't get paid, doesn't mean you deserve to.:cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

Well why does DC get to keep all the money then?

Because they printed the comics using their resources and such. That's much more than his greedy widows or kids did.:o

Im not trying to be a wise guy, or anything...i just dont get why in this situation, the families of Superman's creators are "greedy bastards", yet the huge business conglomerate is somehow justified in keeping the lion's share of profits.

IIRC, Supes creators finally got some cash, but it didnt even come out to 5% of what Superman had made at that point in time.

That kinda sucks.

Creators today don't even get paid much for characters they create. It's not like Vaughan and Alphona are swimming in Runaways money right now.

They got screwed over because they played with the big boys and lost. Yeah, it sucks, but again, not to make light of something like this, but slavery sucked too. Yet, I don't agree that black descendants should get paid for work they didn't do themselves.

I thought I knew everything there was to know about the DCU, but Son of Vulcan or whatever has me completely stumped. Who the frak?

He's originally an old Charlton character. But around 2005 there was a mini with him, Vulcan takes up a new sidekick and literally on their first mission Vulcan is killed and the young sidekick has to take on the mantle and the baggage that comes with the title - that he knows just about nothing about. Then he killed a lot of White Martians. It wasn't stunning but it was a good mini.
