Jay Garrick's helmet! Cool as it is to see RF in a timesphere - to see the suggestion of the original Flash .... I think I need to change my pants now.

Anybody else ever wonder how Jay was able to keep that thing on his head when running at top speed? There's no chin strap.

Is that definetely from the finale? It looks an awful lot like the Harrison/Eobard scene in the Legends of Tomorrow trailer.

The helmet can't be a coincidence though!

Is anybody else thinking

this is a scene of how the reverse Flash went into the Past?

Unlikely. That looks like Tom Cavanagh in the seat, but it was Matt Letscher's Eobard Thawne that time traveled. Also, it's implied that the Reverse-Flash and the future Flash traveled back in time using their own speed, which drained Reverse-Flash's speed. It might be how he gets back to the future, though.

I really really REALLY hope they don't make Jay Garrick just a forgotten speedster from the past. I believe this show has the balls to make Jay the Flash of Earth 2 and do a true "Flash of Two Worlds" adaptation. Please don't prove me wrong

totally agree ! Why not do the whole - change vibratory patterns and move into a different quantum reality....or something like that.

Flash of 2 worlds would be awesome. I wonder who will play Jay Garrick ?

The last thing they need is introducing 2 separate earths. I'm a Jay Garrick fan but I'm not sure this is a good idea. You risk confusing the casual fans and turning them off in favor of the geek comic fans.

It really isn't that complicated, especially for a tv show which can easily make enough time for it to be easily understood.

So be it. They can use the internet to familiarize themselves with the concept, but the last thing any adaptation needs is to become scared of elements that made it successful in the original medium.

I don't want any more universes to have to keep track of. The only way it'd be ok is if he just pops in every now and then. Otherwise, I don't want to see it on my screen.

The show doesn't live on if you just cater to geeks. Networks are about the ratings.

Introducing speedster by speedster is gonna overexpose the whole speed thing imo.

A parallel Earth is hardly unheard of in fiction, and it's part of the DC mythos. Any casual fan who decided to watch this show did so with the understanding that there is 75 years of source material from which to draw. If he/she is confused, he/she can ask a more knowledgeable fan, access Wiki or DC's wiki, or best of all, read the source material. Anyone who is too lazy to do one of those deserves to be confused.

Part of the reason this show is succeeding is that it's taking chances on tough concepts like time travel and difficult characters like Firestorm and Grodd. The precedent has been set and the writing needs to stay true to what this season has established. As Universal Studios is currently learning from the toxic backlash to the Jem trailer spreading across social media, upsetting core fans can do much more damage than the casual ones.

If we do get Jay on the show, well, I'll say it again [and no one will convince me otherwise] - they missed a trick when casting JWS as Barrys dad. As good as he is, it would've been exponentially more AWESOME to see him as the original Flash. Hell, this show and its creators have demonstrated that they like to riff on the old show and give the fans nods, what more than making JWS Jay Garrick?

But, alas, its too late now.
