LEX LUTHOR RETURNS — Lex Luthor (guest star Jon Cryer) descends upon Washington, DC and summons Lena (Katie McGrath) and Lillian Luthor (guest star Brenda Strong) to the White House. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) realizes she has one last chance to stop Lex and turns to the power of the press to help her. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Robert Rovner & Jessica Queller and teleplay by Rob Wright & Derek Simon (#422). Original airdate 5/19/2019.

I can defiantly see why the season finale synopsis would be intentionally vague. LOL at least it says Supergirl not Kara turns to the power of the press so maybe we get Supergirl broadcasting a message. I don't expect much out of the pictures from the last two episodes either. Personally I want more than a little mystery.

Ok, I guess Red Daughter's probably still alive after all, then. Because the only reason they'd find an excuse to put her back in that suit is if she'll be wearing a helmet at some point so they can use her double for cost/practicality purposes, lol.

Is it possible that after a possible round 2 between Supergirl and Red Daughter that it's Red Daughter wearing the armor while we have regular Supergirl? The two of them have to team-up to battle Lex Luthor.

Or Supergirl's reason for wearing the armor is to match Lex Luthor's.

Well, at least Kara doesn't have to put her hands on her his all heroic-like for whenever she planned to reveal her identity to Lena anymore.

Also, Jimmy with an eyepatch. Just give him a black suit and coat and tell him that he wants to tell Kara about the Superfriends Initiative.

Ugh, Leviathan, the current comics storyline? It's bad enough Bendis invaded my Supes comics, now he's gotta infect SG too.

I think we all knew Lex was going to tell Lena, no shock there.

Not sure how I feel about Leviathan. I thought that old lady was Granny Goodness at first

Can't say I expected the Monitor to show up, though. But with that last scene of him by Lex's body, maybe we haven't seen the last of Lex or perhaps we can't count him out just yet.

They took away from the moment of Kara revealing her identity to Lena, whom all she had to do was turn around. All those teases have been for nothing. Even if Lena turns evil, she will end up in Lex’s shadow. They need to distinguish Lena from Lex.

The two Kara’s have reunited back into one and I think Kara will have Red Daughter’s memories.

Looking forward to Leviathan, which DC is doing in Action Comics and the rest of the DCU in the summer. Maybe Brian M Bendis might join Supergirl’s writing team.

Martian Manhunter will have family problems and The Monitor is clearly resurrecting Lex as we must have Superman Vs Lex Luthor.

Great season finale, but not great 4th season overall.
