Season 6, Episode 7 "The Broken Man" Discussion Thread

This is a real low point for this season...for the show. Jaime and Bronn were about the only worthwhile scenes in this episode. God, I hope this isn't a portent of the sort of quality we can expect from the next 3 episodes.

Agreed 100%

I didn't get very much that I wanted this week. Even the Dyke from Pyke accomplished zilch with her scene. The half naked ****es in Volantis fills the tit quota though!

The show is building to a climax and we've only got a few episodes left in the remaining season(s). Lets show the Hound hanging out with some hippies and setting up a story in which he kills some two-bit bandits that no one cares about!

both of these :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

The Dyke of Pyke ****ing killed me! :funny:

careful though...

I'm quite surprised that they turned Asha/Yara into a lesbian/bisexual, not sure I see much reason in it either, other than fanservice.

it's all about PC bruh !!111!!!!

What's wrong with a bisexual character?

Was she bisexual in the books?

Her lines were Victarionesque for the most part. The exception being her concern for Theon.

The Waif had a good disguise. At first I thought it was Lady Crane come to offer Arya a disguise so that they could smuggle her out of Braavos.

GRRM is clearly trying to distance himself from the show as much as possible under the pretense of "writing" Winds of Winter

So she knew she was going to be stabbed with a knife (and not attacked with any number of other weapons or methods) in the gut specifically and on that bridge so that she could jump off of it?

:funny:

yeah. she knows how the waif works, the weapon would have to be hidden so as to not alert her. so probably a dagger. and she chose the spot because she was hanging out on the bridge. She went to the ship guy knowing that the faceless men would hear of her being there or see her.

Where is this Dothraki Sea? I will sail the Iron Fleet through it!

What I don't get is why Jon Snow isn't emphasizing the existence of Rickon more. They're not fighting for a bastard, they're saving Ned Stark's son, the heir to Winterfell.

Also, what happened to Stannis troops? The ones who deserted him after he burned his only daughter.

Yea... We are loyal to the Starks!

Well one is in the Winterfell dungeon...

WHATEVER WE DON'T CARE! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE...

As for the Stannis troops... I like to think the deserters went and joined the Boltons (be it for money or whatever)... their attack formation was the same etc....

it's not the case, but it makes the scenario better if you think of it that way lol

She could not know that the Waif would be dispatched instead of one or more other assassins, nor which weapons might be employed. Jaqen killed someone with a poisoned dart at Harrenhal -that's easy enough to conceal too. And as Phantasm pointed out, such a ruse is also useless against a slit throat -the natural target for an assassin. For Arya to anticipate that it would be the Waif making a hateful bunch of stabs to the gut with a dagger, even twisting the blade, is a stretch to say the least!

And she could have been stalked and murdered anytime and anywhere before that bridge -it's not like she was there all day.

I would guess that most either fled back to the ships near Eastwatch, or to other ports like White Harbor so they could sail back to Dragonstone or the Stormlands which is probably where their families live. And some may have turned into bands of rogues, possibly even made their way south to join the Brotherhood.

Boltons would flay 'em.

I pictured a House of Usher sort of downfall for Stannis after he took Winterfell.
