Season 6, Episode 7 "The Broken Man" Discussion Thread

the red wedding and neds death happened in the same year. and certainly not 2 years apart like the show timeline you posted is suggesting. that ignorant they are even trying to explain it

that entire timeline just seems like a jumble**** where they don't know how to explain it... too stubborn to not just say 'just go with it'.

same year?

how far apart were the events? i dont even remember if they mentioned how far along Talissa was in her pregnancy, but she was showing. and i'm aware she's a show creation and not in the books

Thanks Reek I'm bookmarking that.

The main problem is the aging of the child actors over the course of these years which forces the show to be on a different timeline than the books. Bran definitely can't pass for a little kid.

If they wanted to adapt the events in the books on GRRM's timetable then they needed to do all the scenes involving just the kids at once and far in advance, saving these scenes for inclusion in future seasons.

But most people don't bother to think about this or even care. So I think I'm going to do a shot and rejoin them. :D

in the book timeline (which i go by cause it even makes sense up until season 5 in most ways) ... Neds death was like "January" and the RW was that "December" ... where the Purple Wedding (Joffrey) was the beginning of the new year I believe.

I just saw the synopsis for the last three episodes.
Don't know if they are legit or not. I saw it on an Instagram post (Still an account that had been right with everything they predicted)

Episode 8, "No One":
Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) finds cause for concern. Cersei (Lena Headey) prepares for the worst. Sansa (Sophie Turner) takes control. Arya (Maise Williams) is not alone.

Episode 9, "Battle of the Bastards":
Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) surprises his audience. Jon (Kit Harrington) retaliates. Dany (Emilia Clarke) is true to her word.

Episode 10, "The Winds of Winter":
A queen comes forth. Euron (Pilou Asbaek) reveals himself. Brienne(Gwendoline Christie) meets a friend turned foe. King's Landing awaits justice. The Night's Watch gathers.

The reason why I'm suspicious is because the synopsis for episode 9 shows that [BLACKOUT]Euron will appear. And according to some leaks, it was stated that he would not return until next season. Maybe he reveals himself as been Daario [/BLACKOUT]:woot::woot::woot::woot:

Sorry for bad english

Today HBO released the title of Episode 8 "No One" on its schedule (which matches the German leak), but that's it.

that sounds like the faceless men and women to me?

Yep, that has got to be all about her (epic?) confrontation with the Waif and any other Faceless people pursuing her.

Ian McShane.... all I care about

Battle of the Bastards sounds much better than Battle of Bastards.

The Battle of Winterfell and Winterfell are the only acceptable titles :o

The Battle of the Winterfell Bastards

I'm not convinced the synopsis are legit. A few details are at odds with spoilers I've heard regarding the rest of the season. :hmm

yea each description has a part that doesn't fit lol

Episode 9, "Battle of the Bastards":
Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) surprises his audience. Jon (Kit Harrington) retaliates. Dany (Emilia Clarke) is true to her word.

Dany isn't supposed to even be in the episode I thought.
Episode 10, "The Winds of Winter":
A queen comes forth. Euron (Pilou Asbaek) reveals himself. Brienne(Gwendoline Christie) meets a friend turned foe. King's Landing awaits justice. The Night's Watch gathers.

[BLACKOUT]Euron isn't even supposed to be in the rest of this season, unless they added **** to the finale... Briennes old friend GRRM confirmed to be cut...The Night's Watch gathers... fall of the wall? [/BLACKOUT]

Euron is Daario? What are you talking about lol

I sas talking about that crazy tinfoil theory that's been around for ages stating that Euron was Daario lol

Well since Euron is in the show that debunks that theory, but I suppose its possible that Daario could be working with Euron undercover.

I like the theory that Daario is the leader of the Harpies.

I already know who the Harpy is.

it's Gendry.

All he needs is one little dingy ...

If Daario was secretly in charge of the Harpys that might make his character interesting. Therefore, I doubt that theory is true.
