With this releasing in about a week and a half, how do those of us participating want to handle discussion of episodes and spoilers? I'm assuming this will be a typical netflix "dump" where all episodes of the season drop on the 23rd, and not all of us will be watching at the same pace. For example, I already know I'm probably only going to be doing a couple episodes a week - it'll become mine and my sister's "friday watch" show that we watch together when she comes over for dinner (that Falcon and the Winter Soldier is currently occupying, and WandaVision occupied before that). Do we want to say just always use spoiler tags in this thread (and/or maybe start a second thread where no spoiler tags are required (for those that binge it within the first day or two))? I'm open to whatever (even if that means I'll just stay away from this thread until I've seen the entire season)
Yeah, I can see thatShow throws so many fictional proper names and characters, locations, lore, and other terminology at you that I’m lost on the first episode. And I say this as someone who reads a lot of fantasy fiction and plays video games and watches fantasy tv shows. It’s like being a child thrown into the deep end of the pool and being told to swim. This is just a warning especially to those of us who haven’t read the books already. Hopefully it gets better past this exposition overload where a glossary is needed.
Rhetorical question: why do they not go around The Fold or cross it where it's not wide ?
I may have missed the explanation.
Currently at EP4.
Just finished episode 5 and so good! I like that Alina has taken control over her life. I still don't care for Mal at all and I think she's better off finding her own way. Of course the Darkling is an evil guy, but it's still very intriguing. The Crows are my favourite still.
*Grisha, not geishaJust finished the season and I'm in love! The Nina/Matthias story had me shipping them like crazy. I'm a sucker for the enemies to lovers trope. I love that they're all on the same boat at the end. I love their powers and I love when they show them off. What kind of power would everyone here like? The Healer is obviously very useful, but personally, I like the dark so being a Darkling would be my pick.
I believe in the books that Jesper is a Geisha, correct? I wonder if they'll explore that in this series.
