Shameless

there were several witnesses. Not a single person recognized him? Not a single person could describe him for a police sketch? I mean the security guard that actually caught him couldn't? Lets not forget he LEFT the weapon which has his fingerprints all over it in one of the cars. Its not like Lip did this at some place he will never go again. He did it on the damn campus which he will be on every single day. Its ridiculous that he could do something so public and continue to be around the scene of the crime on a regular basis and not be caught. The fingerprints on the weapon is a guaranteed way to catch him as the culprit

"Fingerprints on the weapon"? You've been watching far too much CSI. As someone who has been victimized by crime and also been the perpetrator of a few, cops, much less campus security, hardly ever dust for prints.

People can describe him all they want, it's a poly tech school in Chicago, there are probably a hundred or so guys, and probably girls, who fit Lip's description. Also take into account that it's the week of midterms, the faculty must make a student into an enemy in each one of their classes.

Blonde guy, short, athletic build, white shirt, blue jeans. That description doesn't help much.

Ive actually never seen CSI, but that's besides the point. You're not taking into account the other points I brought up like Lip still appearing at the school and most definitely likely to be seen again by those especially security that saw him commit the crime. You give a very basic description, but they got a good look at him so a police sketch should be able to identify him. Putting that out there in the paper/news, narrows things down. Come on, absolutely none of those students, whom aren't his friends, aren't going to rat him out? Not to mention a police investigation would find that he had an appointment with the dean and left the building moments before this all happened. This was an impulsive act that Lip didn't think through. Given all this, its hard to imagine how he wouldn't be arrested bc he took no precautions to hide his identity and/or cover this up and an investigation would uncover that.

Yea I agree with Havok. Lip would be ratted out and identified easily. Everybody got a good look at him

Welp, this is just gonna gnaw at you guys for a while, cause I doubt he'll see any consequences, no time soon anyway. How do we know anyone got a good look at him? Who's to say any of those students would be willing to rat Lip out? What makes you think campus security could identity him if they saw him again? They see thousands of kids a day.

Until the episode comes when Lip is given some type of punishment for what he did all of this is moot. Is it hard to believe Lip got away? Maybe. Does this sort of thing happen all the time? Definitely.

No I agree that this stuff happens but man, he did it in broad day light in front of dozens of people and then ran across campus where hundreds of people saw him plus, the security guard sure looked like they got a good look at him. It's not hard to remember somebody's face

I watched this after watching True Detective... I need a xanax or something.

Pretty obvious Ian's bipolar, like his mother. I guess Frank wasn't kidding when he said Ian was the one who reminded him of Monica the most.

Fiona sure has some balls. She is LUCKY, she did not get fired. Mike is a better guy than I am. Im glad she was arrested at the end though. A 3 year old did coke under her watch. How completely and utterly irresponsible. I wonder how she gets off this. Feel bad for those kids. She nearly lost custody last season and something like this, really would make that permanent.

NOT feeling the new Ian. The Gallagher children are all a mess this season except Carl and Liam. What an awful way to bring him back. He'd go to Monica instead of going home? I hope we get more insight into whats been going on with him next episode.

Something doesnt seem right with Sammi. I cant quite explain it

^ I think its obvious that Ian has
Bi-polar disorder
his behavior was right in line with Monica's.

And to fire Fiona because a personal relationship went sour would be a lawsuit and Mikes to good for that anyway. She needs an ass whopping for leaving that cocaine within reach of the children, though.

And it seems Carl is finally seeing his dad for what he is...

Damn, what an ending. Did not see that coming.

true, but there are ways around firing someone. Like if he finds out about her cocaine charge, that right there gives him ammo to do so. He could also make working there miserable for her to force her to quit. She mentioned that the dad owns the business as boss, could decide that there needs to be cutbacks, with Fiona as the newest hire, getting the short end of the stick. You are right in that Mike is better than that, which proves why she doesnt deserve him.

Yeah getting fired is the least of Fiona's worries now. Tough to feel sorry for any of them though when they always bring this stuff on themselves.

Holy **** that was intense. And yea, Ian was totally manic in this episode. Kinda sad to see actually

Makes sense though, bpd hits around 15-18, Ian has always been said to look the most like Monica, according to Frank. Perhaps he inherited more than just her looks.

It's gonna be interesting to see where they go with that particular storyline. Will they have Ian be completely in denial about the possibility of him being bi-polar? Will he understand that if he doesn't seek treatment he'll end up like Monica? Personally, I can't wait to see what direction they go in. Finally, Ian has more to his character than Mickey/Army.

Yea I really dig it. The story potential there is great

Fiona is no good without Jimmy she always ends up with these good guys she doesn't even care for. She become this train wreck without him around once he entered her life. She totally deserves whatever she gets and I hear she is gonna get fired from her job.

Fiona's no good with Jimmy either. He just does the screwing up while Fiona is stressed and unhappy.

Jimmy is in a place where they could always bring him back if they wanted to.

they seemed like a much better fit for each other. She's out of her league with a guy like Mike bc she is such a mess and the typical guy with a career and life going for him wont put up with that.

I feel like Fiona is just one of those girls waiting to get pregnant. Like, she'll settle down with a dude when he gets her pregnant. Any thing else I think she would always find reasons to either sabotage it or the guys would just be so unreliable they'd end up leaving her. I know sooooo many people like that its crazy. That's the one thing I really love about this show though is it reminds me a ton of real life. In real life not everybody is so functional and "normal" some people are just chaotic and just don't have their **** together and probably never will. That's these people in spades. I guess that's the major over arcing theme of the series, dysfunctionality.
