Shocked the reactions are positive. Maybe it won't be a disaster?

t:Right? I have never seen a darker less visible movie than Requiem in my life.
I saw it in the theater. It sucked then too, too dark and hard to see.It was fine in theaters. I have no idea what the hell they did to the DVD/Blu-ray release.
Is this a direct sequel to the one with Adrien Brody? Or the original Predator 2? With all these crossovers with Aliens and and Aliens themselves having spinoffs, I'm losing track of whatever continuity they're attempting. Almost feels like a Terminator situation where they keep rebooting everything after T2, and every reboot is supposed to be a direct sequel to T2 until it flops, then another one comes out touting to be THE OFFICIAL sequel to T2.
I'm curious to see if they reference Predator 2 at all?
Really both of the sequels can still be in-continuity technically, there just might not be a need to mention them. I mean Predators referenced the first film, but not the second, after all.
Curiously, if Predators is set in the future, then I wonder whether those (new) Predators we saw are somehow the end result of whatever hybrid or enhanced Predator we seen in this new film.I think Black said his film is set in modern day (a sequel to 1 & 2), whereas Predators is in the future, so not relevant to this.
