Black made Ryan Gosling funny as hell. It's not hard to imagine he'll fully utilize this actor's talents.

I'm disappointed but my main interest is the predator and Boyd isn't actually a bad choice

Boyd Holbrook in Narcos is practically a Shane Black character, might as well bring in Pedro Pascal to complete the pairing.

That said, I have a gut feeling Boyd is playing the buddy of the role BDT was intended for. (EDIT: NVM, Dekker told me it's for the same character)

Either way, watch Narcos and you wouldn't doubt Holbrook's belonging in this film at all.

I don't mind Boyd but he's such a different actor than Benico that it took time for me to register it.

Not ethnicity, but rather the age difference, their look and build, and acting style.

With Del Toro, he's 49 and looks like it, has a very unique face, and has meat on him. Then you have a 35 year old who's still very boyish, and is much thinner with a swimmer's body.

If the character they're playing is a cop, Del Toro would be the world weary vet while Boyd would be the by the books rookie.

Depends on the role really. If it's for a John McClane type everyman hero, then Boyd might be a happy accident, since BDT can do so much more than that. Again I can't stress how much I enjoy the guy in Narcos.

Either way, apparently we're dealing with a pretty big globe spanning ensemble here. I'm sure there's bound to be that one spot on actor cast for everyone here.

Boyd is a good actor I like him in Narcos. I just liked the idea of BDT.

I'm not mad Holbrook is in the movie, just that BDT isn't in it anymore.

FOX seems to be pushing this guy, hope that doesn't blow up in their face.

Ollie is the reason I am interested in the movie. Someone like Del Toro was merely a bonus. I don't know Holbrook at all so I can't really say I care about him being in it so long as his acting is decent.

That only works when you have Arnold and his charisma. Guy made career on not talking much. Predator, Conan, Terminator. When you have no charisma and nothing to back up the talk you talk you get bad follow ups like Adrien Brody, Sam Worthington or Jason Momoa. And if Boyd is playing same character Del Toro should have being playing, I dont think there is much hope in this being good. Those two dont have anything in common. From look, age, charisma or even acting quality.

Adrien Brody has nothing to back up? The man is a fine actor and and Oscar winner. He's just not an action star. Brody should be no where near mentioned with Worthington and Momoa.

I haven't seen Narcos yet so I don't know Holbrook, but I'd love to see Pascal in this.
