Just did it for the first time and i've been fashioning a long hair for 10 years...so,any creams, shampoo's,when should i do it again without damaging the skin, should i wear a cap when i go out on the sun or would a sunscreen suffice?

Thanks in front

Sunblock for sure until your scalp gets a little sun. Hats help too. Aftershave feels strange but the conditioning can help.

My advice... Don't hang out around the Aryan Brotherhood and if needed, wear a wig.

Yeah, my only advice is to not find yourself hanging around any members of the Aryan Nation/Neo-Nazis. Try your best not to look like a skinhead. Have a smile. Give hugs, and spread laughs. Have no mean looks or frowns.

LOL!! That's exactly what I did. I wore my hair long for about 12 years then decided to shave it down to the skin 5 1/2 years ago. I've kept it that way because I'm convinced that I look better without hair.

Since this is your first time shaving, I'd wait 2-3 days before shaving again. I remember my first time was uncomfortable but it will get easier as your scalp toughens. As for care, I'd definitely use sunscreen on your scalp for awhile. Also, I use Gold Bond medicated lotion after I shave each time. It will keep your scalp healthy. If I'm forced to use a razor that isn't as sharp as I would like, I run ice over my scalp after I shave, then use the GBML.

As for the perception that you might be a skinhead, I don't think that is a problem. Unless you have a copious amont of tattoos and hang in packs of other bald guys ( and you are white, which I'm assuming but don't know ), shaved heads are common enough these days, especially among current/ex athletes .

Welcome to the club. Bald is BEAUTIFUL!

Never really understood why guys shave their heads, shave them bald, or cut their hair really short. I mean, it's possible that we'll loose our hair sometime in the future, so why are we in such a hurry to cut it off?

If you have a well-shaped head, you don't need hair to look good. Also, I don't have to worry about wind, bed-head, hat-head or various other "bad hair" moments.

I'm ticked off how Nazis and KKK can get away with calling themselves "Aryan" when the Aryan people were from Persia and part of India. I'm Aryan, and it's pretty much frowned upon to have a shaved head culturally and racism has been unacceptable since the time of Cyrus the Great.

Thanks buddy :word:.

You know,i came to a point where my hair became such a burden i started to hate every single hair :woot:...i love it this way,the economic side of it and the aesthetic side too.

And honestly i don't care what other people think at all...i haven't stole anything nor killed anyone so why should i bother what people think? The only important thing is what you feel and like, not what other people want you to be.

I don't know about you but people were pretty shocked today when they saw me...i coudn't stop laughing, they were looking at me as if i changed my gender, like i was wearing make-up

Just shaved mine for the first time a few weeks ago and i hate it, it doesnt look natural to me but nature was taking it away from me so i decieded to speed up the process

Use some talcum on occasion to keep it from getting too oily or dry. If you have any light aftershave, pat it down afterwards if you shave a second time.

Start carrying Dum-Dum Pops wherever you go, and feel free to ask random people "Who loves ya, baby?"

use witch hazel on your head also,if you plan on going out into the sun i've found that tanning lotion helps quite a bit

Wear a cap then let it grow out. Never be that stupid again.

If that was suppose to be a joke, dont lose your day job :cwink:

I mean seriously,i ask for advice and all of a sudden ten Carlos Mencia wannabes come out like mushrooms.

Though I would recommend growing some type of goatee/soul patch thing...white dudes with shaved heads and clean shaven faces do not look right. :p :o

But for god's sake, do NOT grow one of those things where a mustache connects to a goatee.
