Shawn Ryan and Martin Campbell team up for "Last Resort on ABC"

I'm liking the show more and more, scenery trembles in fear everytime Braugher comes on screen.

The fact Sam's wife is pretty, likable, loyal and actually smart enough to realize the lawyer friend is playing her is going to make him look an even bigger *****ebag when he cheats on her with little miss Frenchie. :(

Nice to see Ryan getting Dutch from The Shield in the mix.

French chick is so hot, to bad she's flat as a board :(

Love the show

Oh well. :( I just saw the trailer for Red Widow, I can't believe they cast Anson Mount and killed him off in the first episode.

Anson is signed with Hell on Wheels, the characters death sets the premise of the show.

Though I did just see that Red Widow will only air for 8 episodes so maybe Last Resort will go on a hiatus and return in the spring. Or ABC will just have to accept the low demo. It got a 1.3 this past Thursday...

Couldn't he do both given how they are shows with short seasons?

He could but obviously he was fine dying in the first episode.

There would be a conflict.

They filmed the pilot last March/April while Hell on Wheels filmed April to August so there would be schedule conflicts once Red Widow was picked up and started filming in July.

^Good stuff, is it getting a 2nd series at all or is it still up in the air?

Gutted, looks really good as well, may just leave watching it then.

I've started now so I'll finish as that quiz host used to say lol. However if I was you I'd wait and see if the writers wrap it up in one season now they know ahead of time that a second is unlikely. If they do it would make a good DVD purchase if the quality remains high.

Hmm may do, have taped on Sky + so can watch it anytime anyway, might just save the whole series for a rainy day, thanks Hunter.

despite the fact that I really like this show, I can see and feel that it's been losing it's momentum...

sad to say, I really don't think it'll return after the new year...

I really enjoyed the pilot, looking forward to the next episode, really hope the show gets to return as it has some great ideas.

Really good 2nd episode of this last night, show is really gripping, with some great characters and conflicts, really hope it gets to continue.

That was a good episode last night, with the drug making everyone hallucinate! Exciting . . . but a little hard to follow for me with all the jumping forward and backward in time. And man - everybody sure talks fast and low and clipped!

But I was surprised there seemed to be no repercussions from last week's episode when the visiting Secretary of Defense was shot by Bruce Davison's character! I wonder if they showed these episodes out of order?

And there was no follow up to Autumn Reeser's character making an alliance with the XO's wife. Kinda weird.

My biggest problem I had with last nights episode was if you needed people to be awake during the drug effects why werent anyone drinking coffee. I was stationed on several ships and having a fresh brewed pot of coffee was part of the watch turnover and the underway checklist. One of the things that pulls me out of the show is the lack of coffee (yeah i know nitpick-y) but all of my chiefs had a coffee cup grafted to their hands.

Well that's a decent observation . . . but the drug had been put into the water supply and they'd just be making it worse by serving coffee, wouldn't they?

I didnt think about that

That French chick has got it bad for the XO.

Well . . in last night's episode it was actually the other way 'round -- the XO was the one putting the moves on her!

(granted, he thought he was making out with his wife . . . )

I love this show, and hope it sticks around. I'm anxious to discover who administered the antidote to Captain Chaplin. (I assume it's the same person who swiped the key)

Same here, although, I fear it won't.

I must have missed that --- I thought he just naturally outlasted the effects of the drug like everyone else.

Was something said about an antidote??
