Oh no! Someone just said that about the Aquaman trailer! That it reminds them of GL! Everyone's always going on about that movie lol. Like it's a monster ready to attack and destroy all our beloved franchises!

They pretty much nailed it. It was almost everything I wanted. If I have any criticism it was the bit with the Wizard. Billy seemed to not believe him even after that crazy subway ride. I would have thought he would have been gobsmacked and not flippant. Other than that it was perfect. I said when it was first announced it should be BIG with powers. And that's what they did.

Billy seems a bit more serious and brooding in the trailer compared to his adult self when played by Levi. I was hoping to see a more light hearted side of Billy so that we saw that same personality once he became Shazam.

Funny how it's the adult that is acting more goofy in the trailer. Billy was always a serious kid, I thought. Had a lot of troubles. Guess being Zachary I mean Shazam frees him up a bit?

Bingo.

No matter how decent a kid he may be he's still an orphan with no permanent family. It's actually NOT a life conducive to being some joke a minute type of person. Freddy is obviously using his sense of humor as a defense mechanism. So... Why write two characters the same way? Plus... It gives him an arc and something that is dramatically weighty. I swear... I feel like people have never read a comic book in their life sometimes. I remember them having, you know, actual drama and within a given 22 to 32 pages perhaps two maybe three jokes. Now it's like if they stray from being borderline 66 Batman people think it's "off".

Personally I prefer that something remind me of GL over BvS.

Given how early this peek is I think we haven't seen how good the SFX and action is actually gonna be and frankly I wouldn't be surprised given the positive reaction it's getting if Sandberg doesn't get a slight boost in resources to make sure it looks even better come release.

There were a couple moments that I enjoyed, but they were bogged down by the music and editing of the trailer. The more the lean into Big and less into current superhero trends the better. Was kind of surprised by how similar it seemed to Deadpool. Hopefully it's not too self aware.

I really can't stand how trailers are made now, more often than not they turn me off of certain films instead of getting excited. They all have the same loud music, the same quick cuts and frenetic pace. Trailers peaked in 2012/2013 with Prometheus, TDKR, Skyfall and MoS. They were almost legitimate, standalone works of art in their own right. I think if I'd watched the trailers for WW I may not have ended up seeing it in theaters.

I liked the trailer. Billy will presumably find a family and not run away from them by movies end as he realizes their intrinsic worth after experiences the wonder of being an adult that can do all kinds of cool stuff of course.

It's a movie that doesn't have to compromise edge as it doesn't really have any. I think that'll work in it's favor as there's not a part of it that was planned out to be something different than what is delivered in the final product.

Eh let them latch onto that. Some people need something negative to repeat because that's the only acceptable DC memes. The CGI is nowhere near bad enough to complain about. It looks like most people feel positive about the trailer.

in his appearance in animation the lightning looked like a logo printed on the suit like Superman S now is look like a Separate piece from the suit

Yeah, they should have printed the logo on the fabric of his suit and then added some special effects in post production to make it look magical. The plasticky logo with metallic borders lit from below makes it looks fake and it looks like some glow sign. That's my Only complaint with the movie.

In real world you can find places that have a great, happy environment and some places that look like hell, DC world is no different, not everything should look having same tone. It's boring if we just we same tone (all fun and light or all dark and gritty.)
