He saved her in Sokovia. Not Iron Man or Thor, Vision. He was looking at him in a curious way right before the final battle in the Avengers tower. They are paired as a battle matchup in Civil War. Nothing is coincidental. Marvel is obviously going "there".

That's what Nat and Clint fans thought after Avengers.

Heck, they paired Nat and Steve up for an enter movie and they aren't going to be romantically involved.

It could all just be a nod to the comic fans who know about their history. And really only those fans would read so much into their small interactions. It doesn't mean they're going to fully explore anything romantic.

Nat and Clint are best friends in the comics. Nothing in the first Avengers indicated romantic relationship. If someone is ignorant of the comic history and wants to ship a pair that's his fault, not the movie's. The Avengers didn't throw a red herring, it played their relationship as it should have. The same with Vision and wanda. They will be involved, i have no doubt.

Nat had one with Bucky and that won't happen unless she's lobotomized. She even has one with Steve in the Ultimate movies. She has none with Banner and yet there it was. Heck just look at Tony and Pepper. Pepper married Happy. Twice.

The MCU is not the comics.

At the very least, Whedon was teasing the idea:

-Her near instantaneous fascination with him.

-Tellingly including a shot of her staring out the window looking at him while he's talking to Thor.

-Him saving her, and carrying her away "bridal style" during the collapse of Sokovia.

-They're on the same team together at the end.

Not saying that they'll end up going with the romance. But if they do, then some of the groundwork for it is already being laid.
