Did any of your guys see that interview where they asked RDJ about Sherlock Holmes 2? He mentioned that the film will likely take place in other areas of Europe, and one of the countries he mentioned was Switzerland. If that's true, I think we know where the movie's climax is going to take place...

Haha, no kidding. I can see it now. Here would be the reaction of a Holmes purist...
"OMG That movie totally sucked!! Didn't Guy Richie know that Shurlock Homes never fist fites with anyone! What was that sutpid battle sequence at the top of the waterfall?!! That kinda crap was never in the Conan Doil novels. And then Homes fakes his own death. WTF. What kinda of wimp would do that. SO lame and a total bastardization of the source material."
Paris would be awesome since Holmes speaks French and I have a feeling that the French brute from the first movie will be on Holmes' side in the sequel.

"sherlock holmes"
new york -- warner bros. Has scheduled "sherlock holmes 2" for a mid-december 2011 release and is getting close to giving the go-ahead for a movie about beloved dc comics superhero "flash."
the dec. 16 release date next year for the "sherlock" sequel was shown on a slide during a presentation here thursday by warner chairman and ceo barry meyer. His appearance was part of tw's investor day.
The first "sherlock" was released this past december.
Meyer said the 2011 film slate will have roughly 25 movies.
As other big releases already set, he mentioned:
-- red riding hood: April 22, 2011
-- the hangover 2: May 26
-- green lantern (3d): June 17
-- harry potter and the deathly hallows: Part ii (3d): July 15
-- journey to the center of the earth 2 (3d): Sept. 23
-- happy feet 2 (3d): Nov. 18
-- new year's eve: Dec. 9
given that 2011 will be the last year with a "potter" release, meyer said he guesses that the most successful franchise in motion picture history will have exceeded $7.5 billion in worldwide boxoffice once the final installment ends its theatrical run.
And he said his team has been preparing for the franchise's end.
Meyer particularly highlighted that dc comics characters are key parts of warner's future, mentioning a july 20, 2012 release date for the latest "batman" film by christopher nolan and a holiday season 2012 "superman" film.
He added that the studio is also "nearing" a greenlight for a "flash" movie, with films featuring wonder woman, aquaman and mad magazine characters also in development.
Even worse are the people who've never read a Holmes story in their lives but think they know all about the character and his world.
Dec.16 2011 is the day!
I hope there being only a two-year difference between the films doesn't hurt the quality of the sequel.
Work on the script began before the first movie came out. So that's one positive thing. Besides unlike something like Iron Man 2 of Spider-man 2 which involve tons of VFX scenes , something like SH2 is very small in terms of VFX work. Holmes is more about real stunts anyway. They can easily do the movie within a 2 year timeframe if they have the script finished.
For the first Holmes movie shooting began in Oct 2008 for a dec 2009 release.
WB is also going for the same start for the sequel ( Oct 2010 for a dec 2011 release)

That's what I thought. What do you want to bet that people are going to think that scene is over-the-top even though it's canon?
RDJ also mentioned Paris. That could be interesting.
Just because something is canon, doesn't mean it isn't over-the-top.
I think Hugo Weaving would be a badass Moriarty.
t:
what happens in the scene?
It wouldn't really be OTT for most action heroes but some people might not accept it from Holmes, though they should after the 2009 movie.
