Call me crazy, but I always imagined if Robin was introduced in this franchise he would have a dark, somewhat goth/Underworld vibe to him. I personally would like to see Robin in the franchise somewhere down the road, but I think it would just get too messy. I appreciate the route Nolas has taken in terms of grounding this franchise in our real world experience. With that being said, here are some problems that would need to be addressed:

-Bruce Wayne adopts a teenage boy. Batman all of the sudden employs a teenage boy as his new crime-fighting partner, who happens to look a lot like Bruce Wayne's new ward.
-Robin's mask seriously needs to be revised/revamped/etc. Either that or Grayson must take much more drastic measures with his face and hair when suiting up.
-How successful would a trained, 15/16 y.o. kid be in hand-to-hand combat with grown ass adults?

I think the guy is to damn old to play Robin and I certainly don't want some pretty boy trying to be batmans 'partner' . what gay overtones! kinda reminds one of butt cheek suit wearing christopher o'donnell. please the guys 30! WTF is he on. Stay off the junk, son. if Robin is ever done in Nolans movies , and I hope he will be, at least as a one shot or two shot deal, I'd like to see him as an extrordinary acrobatic scappy kid of 12 ,13. The Hereos kid could work if they did a solo Nightwing movie sans Batman. maybe, but that better be a real street level blood splattered Nightwing.

Lets just pretend that Robin doesn't even exist.

Yeah, thats why, as much as i'd love to visually see Robin show up he probably won't be in Nolans universe. good idea for the char. tho and interesting points, friend.

As much as I enjoyed Batman Begins, and as much as I'll LOVE The Dark Knight, I almost think putting Batman on the "big screen" is too limiting. I say limiting in terms of story lines and the ability to expand upon them. I always hoped for an hour series on HBO. I know budgets wouldn't allow for a lot of the hardcore action stuff, but we'd get everything we wanted in terms of story and character development.

We don't need no stinkin' Robin. Keep him away from this series.

Milo Ventimigilia for Nightwing and Missy Peregrym for Wonder Girl in the Teen Titans movie.:o:up:

no more Matt long uh? Well, i guess Milo will be ok. I hopw he becomes a better actor by then

Gah, for a pretty overwhelmingly anti-robin forum, I don't get all this love for Milo as robin/nightwing.

He's WAY too old. Even for a Nightwing who was never a teen robin. He's 3 years younger than Bale - even if he plays younger than his age he's really, really stretching credibility beyond breaking point. Robin should be around 15 years younger than Bruce - a decade at the very least. Batman and Nightwing aren't contemporaries. Cast someone Milo's age and you COMPLETELY lose the father/son dynamic the pairing should have. Just like they did by casting Chris O'Donnel.

Either:

- Do it bloody properly and cast a teen robin now, or
- Cast a 20-something year old Nightwing when Christian bale is in his late 30s to mid 40s
- Just don't have him at all rather than **** it all up.

I can't believe ANYONE who loves the characters of Batman and/or Robin would advocate a Nightwing almost the same age as Batman. But then again I've seen people say Tom ****ing Cruise should be Nightwing and he's over 40.

I know ! Susan Sarandon as Batgirl!

Completely agree. HELL NO. He's way too old.

Batman 3 will come out in 2011, that's the closest Nolan could be done with Batman.

And by then Milo will be 35 years old. No chance in hell of him being Robin during or after Nolan's run.

Oh and as Two Face said, wrong forum.

NO ROBIN IN ANY BATMAN MOVIE EVER!!!

NO ONE WANTS SOME KID FOLLOWING BATMAN AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nightwing might be okay though...

yeah, I could see him as a pedophile pretending to be a teenager

I hate them too Caps. They're in shape, gettin' paid and laid while we're all looking like this in our basements scoffing down donuts
