Why would I be biased Bleed? I've judged plenty of these and never had any complaints before, it was simply my opinion on the creative aspect.

I'm with Rob. Its easy to put a bunch of characters on an island and call it Survivor. Win or lose, I'm proud of my tribe for trying something different.

Umm....you guys are the ones spouting off the complaints about the scores. Don't forget we got a low score in creativity as well besides the fact we didn't go with the usual, "Island Overlay" and went in redesigned a comic and used that host our grid.

Ah, my dear Watson (couldn't resist). I agree with you. I think you guys did an awesome job. Its refreshing to see both tribes turn in something so good.

Smoothness is a good word. Yours is very easy on the eyes. Its nice to just sit back and look at.

but, it's huuuuge, and there's a lot of space. the tiki torches are cute, i bet that's a nosebleed accent

my favorite aspect is your gradient of icons for your team, but i don't like all the different shape and sizes of the icons for ours, but maybe that's a slight ocd quirk in me

The third judge is...well YOU'VE BEEN DECEIVED!!! Well, a little. The third judge is actually 2 people, whom's scores will be averaged.

And those two awesome people are...YOUR HOSTS!!! SF and chase!

Here is what chase had to say:

Let me first say that both teams did an excellent job. A lot of hard work and time went into both submissions and it was fun reading all the comments on how either team came up with their ideas.

Marvel
This grid is very comic book-ish, more so than DC's submission. I love all the comic book references and the fact that eliminated players are 'retired.' However, it is very, very busy and it doesn't balance the theme.

Quality wise, it is a 9/10

Creativity, it is easily the most creative of the two, a 9/10

Consistency with the theme, it loses here since it doesn't balance Survivor and the Theme, a 6/10



DC
This grid is more Survivor-ish. I like how they made the opposing team zombies...HAW...and made themselves the Green Lantern Corp. Very creative. However, it is much more simpler than Marvel.

Quality wise, 8/10

Creativity, 9/10...the most creative of the two

Consistency with the theme, 10/10


For both sides, I was sad that nobody went the I'm a DC, and I'm a Marvel route. I wish that would have been incorporated a bit more into it.

I also want to say of all the Survivors I played, these are easily the best grid I have ever seen in a game. Bar none. So, congrats are in order for you guys. You did well on this challenge

Now to my scoring...

First: Marvel

This grid is awesome for its easter eggs. However, it is hard to read at points. I definitely love what you guys did with the comic book aspect of the challenge. It is VERY comic book. But, while the vote out thing is great for easter eggs, I don't think it is that Survivory.

10 - Creativity
8 - Consistency with theme

DC:

While yours is more basic than Marvels, it is still a strong effort. I think replacing the Black Lanterns with Marvel Zombies was an awesome idea! However, the grid does suffer a bit from being basic. You do balance the Survivor and comic book aspects perfectly though!

9 - Creativity
10 - Consistency with theme

Now, we average our scores so:

Marvel

8.5 - Quality
9.5 - Creativity
7 - Consistency with theme

Total - 25

DC

8 - Quality
9 - Creativity
10 - Consistency with theme

Total - 27

That puts the score at:

Marvel - 81
DC - 79

We were dissapointed in both teams. We asked for avy's for both Spider-Fan and myself. Marvel easily put more work into the avy and it looks the best. However, DC made two avy's and tried to distinguish each host with a different avy. The fact that neither team tried to make an avy that would suit each of us indvidually by looking into our comic book interests is what made this difficult to choose.
