I say yes, it's long overdue for him to become Superman. Martha's moving out, he'll be moving into the city, he's learned about his heritage, he's mastered most of his powers, he has the Fortress of Solitude, what's left? He needs to just become Superman & get it over with.

No Flights. No Tights. They have said that from day one. Don't get your hopes up.

they have gone around that rule before

Well they broke the flight rule once, and there has been the cape in SV. If you remember there was an episode with a kid that could see the future. He touches Clarks and sees a flash of a red cape flying through space. So they have already broken their own rules. :o

You are right...they have skirted it in cheap ways. If you are looking for Welling to wear cape and a \S/ thought you will be sorely disappointed. The day that happens is the day the show goes off the air.

Although the cape with the \S/ on it has been in SV already. Tom wearing it will not happen I think.

Since when does showing a flash of a cape constitute breaking the "no tights" rule? Last time I checked tights and capes are completely different. Secondly they didn't show Clark wearing the cape....they just hinted that he might one day wear a cape. Under the logic you just listed the fact that the Smallville High Crow mascot wears a cape breaks that rule as well. They are constantly doing stuff to tease you to what Clark's future is. It is what they do. They have done if from day one. But if you are sitting around watching and waiting that this will be the year that Clark puts on the costume and becomes Superman, you are kidding yourself. It will never happen.

he'll definitly float and fall flat on his face if they have kara teaching him

OK so I jumped from cape to tights big deal. :oldrazz:

and the "no tights" means "no outfit" not just tights period!

I am not trying to be a butthole about this, but Smallville isn't about Superman. The show is about Clark Kent learning to be Superman. The day Clark becomes Superman is the day that Smallville goes off the air b/c that is never what it was intended to be.

I agree too dude.

It's just that they have had him flying already and they have shown part of the Superman costume. Even if Tom was not wearing it.

well we already know one of those things is happening this season, the other, well i guess that depends on the ratings whether or not that happens this season or next.

Ok ok no more guy love.

That \S/ is still thrown around too much for my liking :oldrazz:

He can't become Superman on the show. Everyone has seen Clark without his glasses on, he has no secret identity.
