I kind of prefer Horner's Spidey theme over Zimmer's. It also really felt like Zimmer got lazy and recycled a lot of stuff from the TDKt or MoS soundtrack.

I didn't hate Zimmer's soundtrack (I love We're Best Friends and Rest of My Life), but I simply prefer Horner and Danny Elfman.

I'm not sure if I like the Peter/Gwen songs so much because they accompanied the Peter/Gwen scenes or because they're actually really good

I didn't care for his theme but ever thing else was great and he is one of the best composer ever so of course he needs to come back!

I feel like his im spider-man theme worked really well in the opening scene, but felt like it wasnt utilized anywhere near enough and I also hate that there isnt an extended version on the soundtrack.

though nothing moved me as much as stuff like Oscorp Tower from the first film. so no I would prefer him not return.

Horner did nothing special for me for TASM1. The only tracks I liked from his score were "The Briefcase" and "Rooftop Kiss" (they felt quite reminiscent of Elfman's work) but "The Briefcase" ripped off Zimmer's "One Simple Idea" for Inception which is disappointing.

It's pretty cool, and quite the coincidence, that Elfman did a great job on Burton's Batman and Raimi's Spider-Man and now we have Zimmer having done both Nolan's Batman and Webb's Spider-Man. Elfman did a great job at creating a memorable theme for Spider-Man and though I think it will be hard for a composer to top that, for Spider-Man specifically, Zimmer did an excellent job at creating a grand, superhero theme for Spidey this time round (I smiled when I heard it in the opening Spidey scene and when I believed it was used again at the end of the film as the credits rolled). If Horner had returned, I have a feeling I wouldn't have enjoyed the film as much because music plays such a huge part in creating the right mood and tone that you want to convey in a film and Zimmer got that just right.
I'm not sure if it's possible but I'd love to see an edit of TASM1 but with hints of Zimmer's score (and other pieces of music from different composers) in the appropriate places because, frankly, Horner's score was quite a disappointment to me; it didn't really fit or do anything special for Spider-Man.

I'm not too big on dub step and was a bit wary when I first heard it in the film alongside Electro on screen but quickly accepted it and that it fit Electro. With Electro gone though and most likely not returning in TASM3, there should hopefully be no need for dub step in the sequel's score.

The funny thing is I never heard of drop step in till like 6 months ago when I saw Lindsey streling drop step music video.

I'd love for both of them to do ASM3.

Have Horner do the emotional stuff, and have Zimmer take care of the score during the dramatic fights and stuff.

Thats a great idea

I don't like these poll options. Zimmer has done good work in the past. His Spider-man score is terrible. One of the worst soundtracks in recent memory, certainly the worst in a Spider-man movie. He shouldn't be brought back.

I know but I think at one point before the movie came out people thought it might be the movies theme to and I think it sounds better. I didn't care for the theme that we got with the trupits but everthing else was great.
