Carey has made her very head-strong and fearless in his book, compared to Milligain's Rogue. And it seems like she's grown considerably smarter, and wiser since her last encounter with (evil) Remy. In addition to her leadership of a new team, she also seems to have a problem with authoritive figures, such as putting up with Cyclops's rules, other team mates getting out of control, and less tolerant towards temporary outcast team members.

There was also a time when Rogue said she'd wait for Remy to return to her. However, this seems to be contradictory to her new personality, and the direction in which she is going. But considering he tried to kill her that last time they saw each other, as well as the tumultuous past they've shared over the years, what valid reason does she have to go back to him... unconditional and everlasting love? ...I find that hard to believe.

With that said, does it make sense for them to get back together, or to move on? Yes, they've been together for a long time, but as with most relationships, people grow up and move on. Should this long time relationship be any different?

Seen that gambit had about the lamest reason for doing what he did....I droped the book after he turned evil.......

with rogue new headstong leadership persona.......she might bark on him for doing what he did to their relationship.....

Rogue and Gambit has a been Up and down relationship....its one of the down time right now.........hopefully it gets into another relationship like what Lorna and Alex has right now......casual friends...leaving room to know their is still a future for the relationship to continue

Only if their relationship is very unlike it was in Milligan's issues.

No she shouldn't, for the sake of both Rogue and Gambit. They need time to become their own characters again. Especially Gambit. He hasn't been his charming scoundrel self in a long time.

gambit went evil in the blood of apocalypse arc right?

He did say he did out of love for the x-men (the classic noble stupid sacrifice thingy) so it wasn't really him pulling an 180 just for the hell of it.

Oh, and as for them being a couple...

Well, I used to have a soft spot for the pair, so I wouldn't mind. Problem is, I just don't see it working that great with the 'angry amazon' thing she's got going on.

Well, he probably would, but Rogue just seems pissed off these days.

It's like saying punk Storm back in the days could've been in a healthy long-term relationship...

Not that I'm saying that Remy is someone easy to deal with, but oh well...

i want her in a healthy stable relationship to contrast with her unstable powers. if remy can get his act together fine if not then i would want her looking elsewhere

No. Absolutely not under any circumstances should she go back to Remy.

i think they should end up together eventually , cos they are sorta liek a peter parker and mary jane if you know wot i mean?

If they do it right... Believe it or the new Rogue would probably more compatibel with Gambit then the old Rogue.

I'm a huge Rogue fan and I have to be honest and say
I was and still am exteremely bored w/ Rogue & Gambit's relationship.
The only way I would like them together would be if something
new and exciting were to happen, other then that.
Only thing I would want them to do is fight :woot:

No. Gambit is her past and they died as a couple after the Mutant Massacre reveal. That relationship should have never picked up after that. Rogue is a much better character without Gambit

I totally agree :woot:

What about him without her?

Never was that much in either of the characters, but surely a couple of Gambit fans would like him to fly solo emotionally for a while.

Im not a Gambit fan so I could care less about him without her. Besides he hasnt made any appearances since their recent breakup so I dont know what his character is like now after Rogue

Nope Rogue and Gambit will always find their way back to each other. Thats how its always been, thats how it will be in the future.

By 'breakup', you mean him being a Horseman???!!!

God I hope they don't pull the same for Jott. But then again, isn't that what they're doing with Havok and Polaris?

There's nothing wrong with the whole 'new chapter of said character's life' thingy. :D

Jott needs a revival quick.

As much as I love Emma. I just don't think she belongs with Scott, or being the headmistress of the school.

So I really wish Ororo or Jean would come back to the X-Men (or both) one taking the headmistress position and the other his heart. Of course I'm talking Jean taking his heart and Ororo the headmistress position, but I can't see Ororo coming back since she's that man that is impersonating T'Challa in Hudlin's series and that makes her a Queen. So I guess Jean just needs to come back and usurp EVERYTHING that Emma has that doesn't belong to her.

The school and Scott.

I'm a fan and i would definitely like to see him fly solo for a while. Just like when he first appeared. He had nothing to hold him back. I'd like to see that again, him not giving a F and just being bad ass.

Gambit might even become liked by me if he stays solo, never gets back with Rogue, and moves on with his life.

There's time you love and you learn. For Gambit and Rogue this should be it. Maybe they are better characters by themselves. I know Rogue is, but Gambit irked me still when he was solo, but not as much when he's with Rogue.

He needs to written by a good writer who knows what he's about and understands his character. He can be very interesting if written well. Same goes for almost every x-man.

And Scott wouldn't be allowed to do that because???!!! :cwink:

Not that I'm blaming either, but haven't Scott and Jean made each other miserable for about, what, HALF of the past forty years??? :D

And hell, if anything, Scott's finally about to unleash the inner ruthless SOB that's been hinted at ever since his merge with Apocalypse.
