The Dark Knight Should they use the pouch belt for this movie

Leather pouch belt all the way. Bemejo's take would translate well if they just made it a bit less busy.

It's a great design and a very nice belt.

^That design just sucks as a whole.:down

Well of course it does, because Nolan's midas touch never came anywhere near it. If Nolan had decided to use a suit like this though, it would of course be brilliant.

I don't like it when people put pouches in the middle where the buckle should be. Take Bermejo's belt, put a Begins-like buckle in the center, 2 Begins metal containers either side of that and big pouches all the way around, with a metal cylinder or batarang interspersed here and there and you have it. And the grapple-holster at the back, of course.

Yeah it's totally unrealistic. heh

Your ideas would make the belt nicer.

I'd also like to see them get rid of the "batman can fly" aspect. That was utter crap.

Dude if you can't tell that he's gliding and not flying then I feel bad for you. He never flaps his ****ing "wings" to gain height, hes using the stiff memory cloth cape to use air pockets to soar a little. You can also tell that hes gradually decending as hes gliding. I'm sure your talking about that last bit of the movie

Thats why it's in quotation marks. I know he was gliding but you know what? Not much of a difference. It still sucked and shouldn't have been in the movie in the first place. Batman dosent fly or glide.

And someone on the first page said they didnt care how the suit/belt looked cuz it dosent affect the movie...go back and watch forever/batman and robin then tell us if a crappy suit/belt dosent affect the movie.

you gotta be kidding me, do you honestly think that? How would he jump off of anything and not get ****ed up if he didnt glide in SOME way.

I always thought Jim Lee did the belt best.

It kinda depends on how high he jumps. Plus there's always the grappling hook. He's been using that for years, no one's complained.

^thats exactly how I see it. Why they didn't use the grappling hook or hell even a divice like he used in 89 instead of going with this glideing crap I'll never know.
I didnt even like it when Burton did it but at least he had an excuse (pushed to sell toys) and only used it for what, 10 seconds?

Also I took what lujho said as sarcasim...cuz "fans" see no wrong in ANYTHING Nolan did.

Wonderful display of pretzel logic as always, Kibbles.

Idiot.

No it was just lame and stupid. And explain how I used this "pretzel logic"....

No, if Nolan had used that belt I'd have thought Nolan was stupid. But he didn't use that belt, because Nolan's awesome.

Wow. That was harsh. I'm impressed!

Brilliantly played. :D

I do try!

Word. Anyone who has to use a stupid and untrue generalisation about Nolan fans to 'win' an argument needs to learn some damned debate skills.

I would like to see them use this belt for the movie. I think it would work better for Batman.

I say keep the same belt. What could have been cool though is if Bruce would have used the belt before discovering the harness for a brief scene.

I have nothing against the pouch...but it would have looked wrong. I do like the metal look alot too. Reminds me a lot of BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES. I think Neal Adams Batman also had the metal one too.

Plus, they've already shown the belt has a purpose more than just holding stuff, by being a key component to his grappling gun. Going to leather would just seem like a leap backwards, atleast in technology for Batman I think.

Well also I think they were going for what he did in year one with his glider. He did glide but not with his cape it was another attachment, but instead of making him have to put that on they decided to make the cape turn into a glider.

And about the grappling hook, in 89 he would shoot it but also attach it to his belt and it would pull him up. Its the same in 89 as it is in BB. And also about the flying, he used the grappling hook to give the illusion that he can fly in both 89 and BB
