Herc would. Hawkeye yes. Thor I'm not so sure. Thor's a little stern and straight to the point.
Romita's art has never appealed to me.

My guess at Bendis' roster for AVENGERS will be:
Steve Rogers
Iron Man
Thor
James Barnes
Hawkeye
Spider-Man
Luke Cage
Spider-Woman
Wolverine
Spider-Man and Wolverine are the EIC mandated members; the ones who Joe Q has wanted on the Avengers since 2004. The "big three" are locks. Hawkeye and Barnes have also been confirmed. And Luke Cage is Bendis' favorite character in the universe. It is possible Spider-Woman could be gone, since she has her own ongoing for now, but who knows.

Obviously you've never seen him hanging out with the Warriors 3 then.
Spider-Man annoys Thor but Thor still appreciates that he's a valiant warrior. Or at least he has in past team-ups. On the battlefield, Thor tends to shut up and fight. Spider-Man does not.Even then he seems more like the straight man there to their goofball antics. At least in his recent series he does.

Ugh. Strike f***ing one.![]()
I figured Bendis might've been happy enough writing a whole bloody series about her to not force her into the Avengers comics again.I don't know why anyone would have expected for her not to be on the team.
Corp, you're doing that thing where you confuse what would be awesome with what Bendis would do again.
I know, I let Avengers-mania get away with me. I'll readjust my expectations to something more realistic for Bendis' Avengers. And by that I mean I'll just let go of any expectations whatsoever and go back to being on the fence about even buying Avengers.Corp, you're doing that thing where you confuse what would please you with what has a remote chance of happening again.
