Superman Returns Singer Reacts

Outside of Singer being gay I wonder if any of these gay rumores about Brandon are due to photos like these?

I mean im not one to call anyone gay or nothing but C'MON! lol :o
Anyway I dont think he's gay... That's weird that the rumore has gotten so much attention.... Like you said Where there's smoke theres fire so who knows.

ARe you saying that Kumar and Clark are lovers? :p

First off, Kal has known Brandon for a while. They're buds.

Second off, Brandon has a girlfriend. So no, he's not gay. I can't say too much about the two other guys in that photo though....

I think that Singer is really mediocre, when it comes to action movies. Nolan did Memento...Nuff Said.
And Singer did Usual Suspects...nuff said.:o

I think what Nolan is doing right is that he made Prestige right after Batman Begins. It creates a balance, so Nolan doesn't lose his 'indie' roots.

Bryan needs to head back and make a smaller movie. He's been making Superhero films for the past 6 years. I'm interested if he got back with buddy who wrote the Usual Suspects screenplay.

Singer is dumbfounded. He thought Superman was going to bring him acclaim and power yet all he got was a public humiliation.

SR will be lucky to make half of X3 worldwide gross. That's what happens when you try to get rich quick off of superhero icons and treat them interchangeably. Notice Singer went from one major superhero to another as if doing superhero movies was like doing 30 food second commercials. He uses comic book icons like prostitutes. When he's done with one he throws it away and moves to the next one. I wouldn't be suprised if his next movie is the Green Latern.

The guy's a parasite. He needed a reality check.
Oh god..

Christopher McQuarrie is working on Logan's Run i'm not sure if Singer is going to direct though.

He's said in a few interviews that he wants to do a smaller film before jumping in to yet another big budget movie.

Retro, he's just being overly dramatic. that's all.
I know its just the way some folks talk about Singer its like we got Uwe Boll to direct or something.

Right. As if the world has come to an end.

I like Superman Returns. IT's not perfect. It's better than X3. But entertaining. I'm sure the sequel will be better ala X1 to X2.

Trust me, Retro. You'll like it. I just that the 'hate' here has gotten overboard. I understand some of the criticsims but man, some people are like "Die Singer Die". And it's not like that at all.

Yeah it has gone pretty overboard. I liked X3 more than i thought i would after the negative hoop-la over Cyclops and the running time. Though its not the best in the franchise and though I have complaints i still gave it a 7/10.

Some people here refuse to go and see SR yet they come here and flame it, Singer and his 'whack' writers. Laughable.

LOL....Speaking of Uwe Boll, I actually sat through Bloodrayne ( Nothing I love more than some "so bad it's good" cinema ) and I could only get through 45 minutes of it. And what's weird is that he gets actual well known actors to be in his "films." I mean, Bloodrayne had Michael Madsen and Ben Kingsley for heaven's sake. I've neve seen Michale Madsen look so bored in any movie. Actually, I've never seen anyone look so bored in a movie before. Who keeps giving Uwe Boll money to make these movies?? I mean, none have done well. It's like If Ed Wood were alive and he had access to Oscar Winners. And now Uwe Boll is making some Lord of the Rings knock off with none other than Burt Reynolds. It's hilarious.

*awaits someone saying Uwe Boll would have done a better job*....................What ?.........you know it's coming

I think he gets it from external financiers. Thats the only reason i can imagine those well known actors wanted to work with him = money (and lots of it). They couldn't have been attracted by his prior work, surely? Or maybe i'm part of minority that doesn't like his films.

He does have a bit of a point though. If this movie was what it should've been box office-wise, if this movie sunk Pirates...Singer would become one of the biggest power players in Hollywood practically over night.

What does this really prove other than Singer coerced young children to be filmed and photographed naked? Oh wait. Forget I said anything.

Well.......I'm certainly not defending the whole Apt Pupil incident...it was pretty sleazy. But this whole notion of 16-17 year olds as "young children" is kind of lame IMHO. I mean, I clearly remember being 16/17...I may be an old fogie of 32 now but I still remember, and I wasn't a baby. If someone had tried to force me to get naked on a set and I didn't want to, I would have simply said no.

This whole notion that people in their later teens are "children", and when they suddnely hit the magic age of 18 they are suddenly adults is silly to me. I'm sure we all remember what being that age is like, and I know I wasn't all innocent. And neither was anyone else I knew who was the same age. I'm not saying one is fully mature at that age, but you are old enough to make some judgment calls.

Oh my God, a down to earth post, what happened?

Totally agree by the way. I'm glad Nolan went and did a small film like The Prestige before jumping back to Batman - it will only help the quality of the Batman sequel. Maybe Singer should have done that first.

I think Singer got what he deserved. He doesn't make good superhero flicks in my opinion. The truth of the matter is that there what a lot wrong with the Superman Returns movie...

The truth of the matter is that's just your opinion. The majority of critics and exit polls of general audiences says otherwise.

1. Whoever made the question clearly did it with second intentions. It understand why they'd make it to Bosworth because of her relationship with Bloom but making it to Routh and Singer was only ment to put them in an emarassing position. Asking about other movie's BO performance is not an usual question.

2. Through Bryan's reaction, you can tell that it's a subject which he's not very confortable with at the moment. Time Warner execs must be putting a lot o pressure on him.

3. I find it suspicious at the very least that this has been posted in AOL, of all places.

Exactly, I only posted those links because someone asked. I wasn't making a statement one way or the other regarding the case. Although Sony did settle with the plaintiffs, the Los Angeles Prosecutor's office did not press charges. Therefore, it's a closed matter.

The only relevance to the discussion (and the reason I brought it up originally) was in reference to Singer's style of management over crew/talent.

Ya, but its still wrong. They threatened to black mail them. I mean its like like 16/17 year old kids know how the industry works. Not to mention what kind of sick **** wants to see 17 year old boys naked? And what kind of party would show this kind of sick footage? Speaks a lot about the people Singer surrounds himself with.
