Also, despite Stark being on the Justice League, we can have it where he built a version of JARVIS for the Avengers if necessary.

"The Stark 2.0... because God couldn't improve on perfection, so I guess I had to."

Supergirl, Spidey, Harley, Deadpool, and Iron Man are approved.

I'm cool with Tony being a Leaguer instead of an Avenger. But I need Flash or Wonder Woman in return. haha

Also, IC will be up tomorrow. Thought I was gonna have more time tonight to get it going.

Also, planning on a third character, and am between a few villains. I just don't know which evil billionaire to go with.

You're getting Aquaman and you're going to like it!

Also, still working on my second, though it requires a vast amount of world building.

But I'm pretty :xmen:-cited about it.

It was OK though because Steven Spielberg brought them back later. More time passed. Some naked people were told not to eat and apple. They ate the apple. I don't blame them. "So then, you know what to do?"

[BLACKOUT]"Do I know what to do? Seriously? I'm answering your Craigslist ad titled 'Please kill my abusive husband', and you don't know if I'm clear on the job? What kind of dumb b**ch are you? How do I politely respond to that question? Ahh, I know..."[/BLACKOUT]

"WHAT?!"

You excused yourself. I just assumed you farted."

"Can we just talk about the financials, so I can get out of here and never have to talk to you again."

"One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars!"

"That's absurd!"

"Have sex with me."

"...Who do I make the check out to?"

"What? No, that's not how it works. I give you an unpayable fee, you decline, and then we smoosh as payment...Oh God did I say smoosh?...There are no goesies backsies. Five minutes, no kissing, above the covers, lights off."

"NO!"

You are Mother?

"Well, get a load of you, huh?"

A cold mist hangs in the midnight air as I sweep the barrel of my pistol slowly across my field of view. The forest is big, and there's a whole lot of places this guy could just jump out from. But I've been around long enough to not let him get the drop on me.

"Big scary mongoloid type, letting your machete do the talking for ya," I say into the eerily still woods, leaves crunching beneath my hooves. "Over twenty victims so far, most of 'em in their teens or early twenties. Got a thing for jailbait, don't ya?"

CHHHH-CHHHH-CHHHHH............

Thing is, this guy's big enough and strong enough that he could take most of his victims without any real fight. The fact that he does all this sneakin' around tells me that he's not just some half-brained lummox. He's a hunter.

Well, sorry news, pal. So am I.

"Reminds me of this other guy I took down a few years back," I continue. "Had a thing for mutilating high school kids in their sleep. Some kinda 'dream demon.' Unlike you, though, he just would not. stop. talking. Least 'til I got a hold of him-- he barely even had a face when I was done with him, let alone a mouth."

Don't feel bad-- that creep liked to carve up little kids and throw them into a furnace before he got ghosted.

CHHHH-CHHHH-CHHHHH........HAHHHHHH-HAHHHHHH-HAHHHHHHH.......

"I know you've got a reputation," I call out, looking for sudden movement in the brush. "They say you can't really be killed, right? That you just keep comin' back, year after year. Well, I got a reputation, too. For beating the hell outta guys like you."

A twig snaps ten paces behind me. He's there, and he's positioning himself for the kill.

"Maybe you've heard a' me on the other side," I say with a sneer. "I hate that 'I'm known by many names' crap that a lotta the guys from Down-There do, but I've picked up a couple. I'm the Beast of the Apocalypse. The Right Hand of Doom."

CHHHH-CHHHH-CHHHH-HAHHHH-HAHHHHH-HAHHHHHH

The killer lunges from a cloud of pale green mist.....and I sock him one with a big right hook, right in the center of his stupid damn hockey mask.

"Most people, though, they just call me......"

Singular Universe: Brave New World Character Application:

Character Name: Hellboy aka Anung Un Rama ("and upon his brow is set a crown of flames")

Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero

Character Speech Color and Font (actually say what it is, like Blue Comic Sans): Arial Black, Dark Red

Powers and Abilities:

Hellboy possesses a fair degree of superhuman strength and endurance, able to lift hundreds of pounds with ease and walk off wounds that would be fatal to humans. He also has a supernaturally fast healing factor, which may render him 'deathless' to even supernatural means. That is not to say, however, that he is invulnerable-- just really, really tough.

While he himself is no magician, Hellboy has an innate ability to read and decipher any magical language or incantation, and he cannot be harmed by fire or electricity of any kind.

In addition to his innate abilities, Hellboy carries a variety of weapons and other items on him whenever deployed into the field, including (but not limited to) holy relics, alchemical herbs, iron horseshoes, and plain old regular hand grenades. He also packs 'The Good Samaritan,' an custom-made oversized revolver whose gunmetal is an alloy made of cold iron from crucifixes, Irish church bells, and blessed silver; with a grip made of wood from the True Cross; and which fires 'Whopper' shells which contain white oak, holy water, garlic, silver shavings, and anything else which might be bad for bad-guys. While the Samaritan is one of the most powerful evil-slaying weapons ever made by mortal men, Hellboy is admittedly a lousy shot with it.

Hellboy's most powerful weapon, however, is his right hand--more specifically, The Right Hand. The hand of Anum, one of the great spirits present at the creation of all things, Hellboy's right hand is bound to the seven-headed dragon Ogdru Jahad, and is the key to holding the Beast of Ragnarok at bay. Anung Un Rama is destined to use that key to release the Great Dragon, and bring about the end of all things. Mostly, however, he uses it for hitting monsters really hard.

Character Origin/Major Events:

Anung Un Rama was conceived in 1916 by a coupling of a witch named Sarah Hughes and Azzael, a Duke of Hell. Creating his son by dragging Sarah to hell and burning her body away, Azzael chopped the newborn demon's right hand off and replaced it with one of Hell's most powerful artifacts: the Right Hand of Doom. If ever loosed upon the Earth, Anung Un Rama would inevitably use the Hand to free the Ogdru Jahad and end the world.

In 1944, however, the human race seemed right on track to ending the world themselves. The Nazi War Machine had terrorized the Western World for years, and the calamitous battles between Axis and Allies left millions dead across the planet. Reeling from defeat after defeat from Allied heroes like Captain America and the Invaders, and with the Red Skull growing ever more ambitious, Hitler turned to another, darker source of power: to Grigori Rasputin, the Mad Monk who poisoned the mind of the last Tsar. Rasputin and his cultists promised Hitler the power to destroy his enemies once and for all, and the Fuhrer backed the madman with everything the Third Reich had left.

On December 23rd, 1944, Rasputin successfully brought forth the Beast of the Apocalypse, none other than Anung Un Rama himself. However, before he could bring about using the infernal child to destroy the world, the ritual was interrupted by Lobster Johnson and The Amazing Screw-On Head, heroic and daring agents of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Having secured the child, Johnson and Head took the devil back to the United States, to the head of the BPRD, Professor Trevor Brutenholm, who gave Anung Un Rama the name he would use for the rest of his life: Hellboy.

Raised primarily in a hidden military base in the Nevada Desert, Hellboy grew up quickly, and thanks to his kindly upbringing by the Professor, rejected his hellish nature and became a staunch defender of humanity. Granted 'honorary human' status in 1952, Hellboy eventually topped even Lobster Johnson and Screw-On Head as the BPRD's top field agent, toppling cultists, rooting out demonic possessions, and beating the living hell out of everything from werewolves to poltergeists, dragons to witches.

Over the course of several decades, Hellboy has gained several enemies. The Baba Yaga, the witch-queen of Russia, hates Hellboy for taking out her eyes, as well as for besting her champion, Koschei the Deathless. Gruagach of Lough Leane, one of the faerie folk, schemes against him for imprisoning him in the body of a pig. Igor Bromhead is a particularly nasty mystic who lusts for power. And Brainiape, the brain of Adolf Hitler inside the body of a cybernetic gorilla, is the brain of Adolf Hitler inside the body of a cybernetic gorilla. And then there are the remnants of Project Ragna Rok, the Nazi mad scientists and occultists who brought about Anung Un Rama's coming at Rasputin's command, now led by the sadistic head-in-a-jar Dr. Herman von Klempt.

Most fearful of all, however, are the Ogdru Hem, the 369 monstrous children spawned from the Ogdru Jahad itself. Manifesting in myriad forms, the Ogdru Hem are immensely powerful beasts whose power could bring untold devastation to the world.

Thankfully, Hellboy does not fight these threats alone. He is backed up by other members of the BPRD, including Abe Sapien, his best friend and oldest companion--as well as a monstrous fish-man; Frankenstein, the very same man-made man made famous by Mary Shelley; Morbius the Living Vampire, a somewhat self-loathing bloodsucker; and The Astounding Wolf-Man, a guilt-ridden lycanthrope.

A few years ago, the BPRD team intercepted Blackheart, infernal son of the demon-prince Mephisto, who was attempting to hunt down and kill one of his devil-spawned rivals, the daughter of Trigon. Hellboy and company drove Blackheart away and secured the half-demon, a young girl named Rachel Roth. Hellboy took a fondness to the girl, seeing her as a 'kid sister' as a fellow Beast of the Apocalypse, and is extremely protective of her, even as she grows into her late teens and trains for her first field deployments.

Great and evil things lurk in the dark. But when things go bump in the night, Hellboy is there to bump them right back.

Why this character?

Because I ****ing love Hellboy, and I really really really wanna play with all of the supernatural and occult stuff in a smashed-up Singular Universe.

What can you bring to the RPG?

The apocalypse, if I'm not careful.

Well, I was this close to picking up the Red Power Ranger -- and I suppose I still could, if I felt like I could handle three characters -- but an offer like that is damn hard to pass up.

How's this for a counter offer: You play Jason, I'll play Kim, and we can fight Goji.

Damn, I was gonna take the White Ranger as a third character, but I thought I'd be all alone :(

If we're gonna have other Rangers, I totally call Tommy instead of Wade. Deal?

Another work in progress...

Was going to slowly reveal half of this in my grander scheme going ahead playing Moon Knight/Project Red Hood in Ultimate One but it never happened, and it's probably pretty rough to thrust back story which peripherally affects whoever's playing Cap anyway...

So let's give this a crack...

Singular Universe: Brave New World Character Application:

Character Name: Marc Spector, Moon Knight - Yes... I know... again. MB, you did this, you %($*#!

Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Walking the Line

Character Speech Color and Font (actually say what it is, like Blue Comic Sans): [BLACKOUT]Century Gothic, silver in blackout tags[/BLACKOUT]

Powers and Abilities: Mystic/scientifically affected peak level human. An avatar of War, turned allegiance to Vengeance.

Character Origin/Major Events:

Here we go...

"The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it: If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something." - Franklin D. Roosevelt, 22 May, 1932. (Roughly two months prior to Adolf Hitler assuming power via 1932 German Federal Election...)

"We have faith that future generations will know that here, in the middle of the twentieth century, there came a time when men of good will found a way to unite, and produce, and fight to destroy the forces of ignorance, and intolerance, and slavery, and war." - Franklin D. Roosevelt, 12 February, 1943. Address to White House Correspondents' Association, Washington D.C.

"I fully realize that the new organization is a human rather than a perfect instrumentality for the attainment of its great objective. As time goes on it will, I am sure, be improved." - 1945 Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech of Cordell Hull, December 10, 1945. Read verbatim in his absence by Lithgow Osborne.

  • As the Nazi and Axis strength grew across the world, intel was brought before FDR stating that action would be needed to taken. A dark spectre was growing in Europe which had the means to spread across the world. Reports showed that Hitler had recruited a "war advisor" called Johann Smit who had undertaken specialized training under the Fuhrer's direct instruction. Smit was reportedly an expert across many fields including physical combat, strategy, science and, rumour had it, a staunch occultist. Along with which, he appeared to have the full backing of Hitler in resource deployment.
  • After initially tabling these reports - this war appeared to be Europe's - and rumours of Smit's dabbling in magic deemed "poppycock" and "fanciful tales of men looking to cover their own shortcomings" further reconnaissance unveiled additional missions for classified military gain, Smit (now colloquially called Red Skull) had begun to show greater signs of his own power across the Atlantic. This growing threat, led to FDR signing off on the earliest proposals for Project: Rebirth, drafted by his Secretary of State Cordell Hull.
  • Project: Rebirth seeks to bring the best physical qualities out of the human form to create a division of potential super soldiers. Headed by Abraham Erskine, a biochemist and physicist who defected from Germany, progress is slow but steady. A clear Super Soldier Arms Race is in effect, of which the Red Skull and Hitler have a considerable head start. However rumour has it that Smit does not intend to have the product of his project bound solely by science...
  • After confirmation of Red Skull's intent to enhance via magic/mysticism and lofty designs involving norse gods and demonic entities, FDR is presented with an amended proposal for Project: Rebirth by Hull. This proposal would not be filed and included optimistic plans which included names amongst the Ancient Greek pantheon.
  • Despite starting from behind, the US achieved first contact with a "superhuman entity". A verbal agreement is made between the US government and the Greek God of War; Ares. Ares will allow the balance of war to be tilted. A Professor Erskine's latest, best efforts at a Super Soldier Serum has come to fruition. According to Ares, the serum will not make the subject a god - mankind has not earned that much - but it WILL allow whoever consumes it to unlock the full potential of the human form; Strength, agility, speed... what Ares wants in return is as yet unclear. There are references however, to representatives over every major war in the future giving birth to another of his Avatars of War. Each candidate will be selected by executive order.
  • Suspecting duplicity, Erskine makes an interesting choice. Selecting his candidate based on strength of character, believing that if his own work does its job, any physical shortcomings will be resolved. Steven Rogers - Codename: Captain America - is to be the product of good old hard work and innovation from the finest American scientists, headed by German jew Erskine in a decision designed to fight the fifth column propogandists at home and boost the spirit of the nation, according to memorandum from the pens of FDR and Hull.
  • Captain America becomes a beacon of hope, and symbol of liberty... who is sadly lost on the closing days of WWII during a mission to take down Baron Zemo along with fellow compatriot James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes.
  • The Korean War saw a new candidate, as per the verbal agreement with Ares. This was called Project: Super-Patriot in order to provide separation from the original Captain America and also because hubris after the first candidate's success led John F. Walker to be chosen by project director Curtiss Jackson more for his physical prowess than strength of character. "US Agent" had considerably less success than the first Captain America and tracing his history can be difficult with several parts of his file redacted or just outright destroyed.
  • The Vietnam War saw another candidate. Due to the nature of this war, and the belief that while the previous candidate had less popular success, he was pliable to some action that the original Captain America was not, he was selected based on traits suitable to how this war was perceived to "needed to be fought". Files pertaining Project: Unknown Soldier are therefore, somewhat unsurprisingly, impossible to find.
  • The first Gulf War in Iraq demands the selection of another candidate. A more stable Hank Hall is selected, despite the protestations from his brother Don. Project: Hawk is not as high profile as Captain America, but for the first time is made public knowledge since US Agent. Hawk doesn't yield anywhere near the PR issues of US Agent, or the sheer weight of atrocities that needed to be covered up by the Unknown Soldier, but was used more sparingly. The disappearance and return of Don Hall for a short period after the success of Project: Hawk is unrelated to the U.S. Government without even enough intel for speculation.
  • Following an attack on the twin towers on September 11, 2001, war is declared, not on a nation, but on terror. Enlisted for the next candidate is former U.S. Marine, CIA operative and "professional soldier" Marc Spector. Project: Moon Knight (suspected to be a less than PC name making a reference to a possible religious crusade) was once again kept from public knowledge due to it's use of more than questionable processes such as brainwashing, and steroid/psychotropic drug cocktails to boost the candidate's physical strength whilst intending to make him pliable during the recruitment phase.
  • Project: Moon Knight lost whilst on assignment in Egypt during riots. "Dark period" of several weeks unaccounted for. Spector returns to U.S. soil under pseudonym Steven Grant, now displaying extremely erratic behavior.
  • New York vigilante seen matching Spector's height and build, touting self as Moon Knight. Claims to be "Avatar of Vengeance" in service of an Ancient Egyptian New Kingdom god called Khonshu.
  • At this point the United States Government remains unsure what effect these developments will have on previous treatise with Ares.
Why this character? Because I'm me.

Also... I'm interested in looking into a "Gods and men" type story which delves into mortals being little more than play things for higher powers whose reach overextends their grasp and use people for little more than amusement.

What can you bring to the RPG? A character group that will delve into the nature of war. Conceptual differences between war, vengeance and justice.

Also Moon Knight punching the odd punk in the face...

Provide a short sample post as your desired character, in three paragraphs or more and featuring at least one line of dialogue:

First there was nothing. Then a spark.

A pipe bomb detonates, filling a humid afternoon with a plume of smoke, debris, screams and tears.

Legian Beach is a Western tourist trap. A great place to get away. A thousand alleys tucked away up off the shore line.

A local would know it to be a great place to hide.

Even a foreigner might...

A man in a white cotton shirt puts down his drink as world wearied eyes soak in the carnage on the television above the bar.

Eyes that have seen some of the worst of humanity... desensitized, but still not accepting.

A fifty is left under his glass as he walks away. He knows it will probably be his last drink in this country. He'll have to move on again. But it is what it is.

God's will.

* * * * *

Some select questions to a few likely individuals get him the broad strokes information he needed. The deed was done by a Kobra cell. A lowly Lancehead no less. It came as little surprise. In the end its the pawns whose blood draws out the bigger pieces.

The blood of the innocent is generally either spilled by the head as a show of power or the lowest of henchmen. Middling figures neither want to sully their hands with the dirty work, nor need the target such action would put on them.

He looked at the address again. 4 story block. The Lancehead was on either the third or fourth. Incomplete information was due in part to his informant was high as a kite when he saw him. For one such as Spector, it would be enough.

<Sir! No! You can't go in here!> A small boy, perhaps no older than 15, spoke in Sasak with big hand gestures.

The man in white never broke stride, he crumpled the boy with a single punch to the face... catching him before he hit the ground. Sasak was a minor language and virtually everyone in Legian Beach spoke not only English, but Japanese and Korean as well, out of necessity from the tourism industry. The boy was the first warning system to the man upstairs, an alarm Spector couldn't afford to waste time with.

Spector strafed up the outside of the stairwell with his Desert Eagle drawn, taking care to tread as quietly as possible - a difficult task on the rickety old wooden staircase.

He got to the third floor and a tough decision had to be made. To breach here, or to continue up the stairwell and secure the fourth floor first. The large windows between floors answered his question for him, he'd secure the top floor and if the Lancehead made a run for it he'd have an elevated shot of the bomber fleeing the exit. If he took care of the lower floor it left rooftops open and a chance for escape.

Steeling himself he continued up the stairwell... until he felt the telltale tug on his leg.

Tripwire.

Spector dove up the stairwell.

BOOM!

Grenades blew on the sides of the staircase, sending his path back to the third floor plummeting to the ground.

The muzzle of an assault rifle flashed from a door on the third and riddled the wall just above him with holes.

A few uncomfortable quiet seconds passed, before the bullets flew again. Clearly he'd just changed clips. No cover fire. The Lancehead was likely alone.

Marc waited for the next pause and steadied himself to aim at the door... but a grenade crashed through the window. The Lancehead threw it from off the balcony.

Thinking quickly Spector picked up the grenade and hurled it through the wall. Whether it was the serum or something else remained to be seen, but the grenade punched through the thin plaster board wall as if it were made of paper. Spector jumped down to the third floor and kicked in the door, his sidearm drawn.

The Lancehead sat in the corner holding his chest, coated in his own blood.

"You think you can stop us... American. Every day there are more of us... You think you and your army..."

[BLACKOUT]"I'm not wearing a uniform."[/BLACKOUT]

Spector fired, the Lancehead's shoulder turned to pulp.

"Aaaargh! I don't--"

[BLACKOUT]"No uniform. No 'King and country'. Just you... the 30 innocent lives you took and..."[/BLACKOUT]

"...and you?"

[BLACKOUT]"...and God's will."[/BLACKOUT] The blade of Vengeance squeezed the trigger. And its will was done.

Singular Universe: Brave New World Character Application
:

Character Name: Loki Laufeyson

Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Villain

Character Speech Color and Font (actually say what it is, like Blue Comic Sans): Georgia Green

Powers and Abilities: Loki is, by genetics, a Frost Giant, though is considered the smallest Giant ever born, as he looks to be a normal man. Still, his biology gives him extraordinarily long life, high amounts of superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, endurance, and durability.

Loki is among the most powerful practitioners of magic in the Universe. While he is skilled in all manners of magical arts, shapeshifting, illusion, and deceit are among his favorite schools. Loki prefers to get what he wants by others fight for him, even though he is far more skilled in battle than most would believer. He can use his magics to create forcefields, or for offensive capabilities as well.

The Trickster God's most powerful weapon, however, is his mind. Loki has a genius level intellect, and is always planning his next scheme.

Character Origin/Major Events:

Loki was born to Laufey, king of the Frost Giants. The boy was a runt, however, and was cast aside quietly in order not to embarrass the king, who was currently at war with the forces of Asgard. During an Asgardian invasion, the child was found by Odin, who took pity on the child and took him in as his own.

Loki was raised alongside his "big brother" Thor. While Odin and his queen Frigga treated Loki with the love and respect they gave their biological son, Loki felt constantly slighted and in Thor's shadow. He did not know his true origin, and believed Thor to merely be the "favorite". Still, Loki grew to resent his brother, who he viewed as vain, arrogant, and violent. Loki, who was learned in the magic arts and studied strategy, believed Thor would ruin Asgard when his time to rule came. As the boys aged, Loki began crafting a plot to discredit Thor and bring about his own rule.

Year One
  • Loki puts into motion his plan, which more or less is the same as the first Thor film. Loki allows Frost Giants to infiltrate Asgard, drawing a retaliation from the brash Thor.
  • Thor's attack on the Frost Giants causes Odin to exile him to Midgard and strip him of his power. In Thor's absence, Loki becomes heir to the throne of Asgard.
  • The war between Asgard and Jottenheim is short, thanks to Loki's battle strategies.
  • At a peace summit between the two realms, Laufey secretly reveals to Loki that he is the Frost Giant's son. Loki is devastated by the truth, but hides that he knows from Odin.

Year Two
  • Loki discovers Odin's exile of Thor was done primarily to teach the Thunderer humility, and that the Allfather hoped that Thor would come back to Asgard. Realizing Odin would never allow a Frost Giant to sit on the throne, Loki travels the Nine Realms to learn how to overthrow Asgard and kill Thor.
  • Loki next appears on Midgard and takes control of a giant, underwater dinosaur named Titanosaurus, which he learned about in Atlantis. Loki orders the gargantuan beast to attack San Diego, where Thor had taken up residence. Loki's plan backfires, however, as Thor sacrifices himself to save a group of humans in the attack, restoring his powers and proving himself worthy. With his mighty hammer Mjolnir, Thor beats the kaiju back into the sea.
  • Loki's hand in the attack goes undiscovered, and he disappears to bide his time.

Year Three
  • Loki infiltrates the Cobra Command in order to manipulate the terrorist organization to find the Tesseract, an ancient weapon of immense power which he plans to use to take over Midgard and Asgard.
  • During his time with Cobra, Loki takes the time to study up on and test Earth's heroes.
  • Cobra finds the Tesseract, and Loki immediately takes it from them. Using it, he opens a portal to Jottenheim, and a Frost Giant army invades Midgard.
  • Loki and his army are stopped by The Avengers, including his brother Thor.
  • Loki escapes through a portal to an unknown realm made by the Tesseract.

Year Four
  • Loki appears in a long-forgotten reach of the Universe, and gains knowledge few know.
  • He travels through space, coming across races and weapons he's never known about, but his final goal is Midgard yet again.
  • He arrives at last on Midgard, and begins putting together a team to carry out his next plan.

Why this character? I think Loki dealing with the likes of Hellboy, Superman, and Wonder Woman could be a lot of fun.

What can you bring to the RPG? I've got a story seeped in mythology that I think could be fun.

Provide a short sample post as your desired character, in three paragraphs or more and featuring at least one line of dialogue:

Mutant freaks, aliens, gods, and giant radioactive lizards all walked on this planet, and that wasn't even counting all the normal humans who wanted to kill half of the others. Loki loved it. As a god of chaos, the Asgardian raised Frost Giant just loved all the possibilities he had here. He could start a nuclear war. He could unleash an army of supervillains on an unsuspecting town. He could do whatever he wanted here.

At least he could until the Avengers or the Justice League showed up. They had an incredibly annoying way of getting in the way of his fun. But unluckily for them, that wouldn't last very long.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the trickster god said to the assembled people in the chamber below, "I've assembled you for a grand goal. For too long the so-called superheroes of this realm have held us back from our obvious greatness."

"And what do you propose?" asked Circe the Sorceress. "None of us have been able to take them down. What makes you any different?"

"For one thing," Loki stepped into the light and revealed himself, "I am a God. Secondly, we have all failed because we come at them separately. But look at what they themselves have done. Each time one of our masterful plans challenges them, they team up and foil us yet again. We should do the same. Together we can shake the worlds of gods and men. Together we can be the Legion of Doom."

I've edited Iron Man's timeline. I sort of made him have some influence in the formation of the Avengers, though he's a member of the JLA. Let me know if this jives well or not.

Character Origin/Major Events:

Year One:
  • Iron Man's Origin (basically the first movie)
  • Stark and Pepper's relationship becomes the stuff of tabloids.
  • The Mandarin appears, threatens Stark and America, is killed in battle with Iron Man over San Francisco Bay (although no body was recovered).

Year Two:
  • Stark encounters more supervillains, including the Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, Doctor Light, and Radioactive Man.
  • The stress of being Iron Man begins to get to Stark, and he starts drinking more.
  • Stark begins to update Iron Man's armor often, to the point where each major appearance features a different version of his armor.

Year Three:
  • As Stark's alcoholism gets worse, he and Pepper have a very public break-up. The headline "Demon In A Bottle" goes viral as Stark enters rehab.
  • During Stark's tenure in rehab, Col. Rhodes takes up the mantle of Iron Man, helping to found the Avengers.
  • After rehab, a clean and sober Stark takes back the mantle of Iron Man, while Rhodes uses a similar suit of armor as War Machine. Rhodes stays with the Avengers, while Stark joins the newly formed Justice League of America.

Year Four:
  • Stark steps down as CEO of Stark Industries, appointing Pepper to the position. She rebrands the company as a cybernetics firm, issuing a statement that Stark Industries will be a force for peace and healing in the world. Stark himself serves as Vice-President and chief spokesman, allowing him to continue his superhero career. He does, however, retain majority ownership of the company.
  • Pepper and Happy get married.
  • Col. Rhodes is appointed as Secretary of Defense. He only rarely acts as a superhero, and when he does, it is as the Iron Patriot, a rebranded version of his War Machine armor.
  • A madman named Vandal Savage crosses swords with Iron Man while trying to overthrow the government in the Balkan nation Kasnia. After stopping the villain, Stark discovers that he is a descendant of Savage's.

Carnage, is it cool for me to use one of the barons (be it Zemo or von Strucker) for something?

Then it's time to introduce GCPD Police Lieutenant Baron Helmut Zemo.

Since I'm going to be traveling for the next few days, I figured I'd just jump into a short solo story. If anyone tries to reach Stark before I come back, he'll be busy somewhere in Japan.

So don't destroy Japan, please.

Andy, that is a personal challenge for you to destroy Japan before he gets back.

So, yeah, Im gonna drop Deadpool and go with my original idea. I think my heart will be more into it

Singular Universe: Brave New World Character Application
:

Character Name:Tommy Oliver, The White Ranger

Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line):Hero

Character Speech Color and Font (actually say what it is, like Blue Comic Sans): [BLACKOUT]Bold Blackout White[/BLACKOUT]

Powers and Abilities: Tommy possesses the White Tiger Power coin, which provides him with the superhuman strength and ability of a Power Ranger. He also commands the White Tigerzord, along with his companion, the sentient sword known as Saba

Character Origin/Major Events: Millenia ago, the wise sage Zordon ruled the planet Eltar with his bride and chief priestess, Rita. Eltar was part of an alliance of planets, along with Xandar, Oa, Zenn-La, and Krypton, tasked with keeping peace and order throughout the universe. Like the other planets, Eltar had it's own peace keeping force know as the Power Rangers. Their powers were derived from the prehistoric beasts of Earth, the dinosuars, a species Zordon admired for their ferocity and strength. On the surface, peace ruled for centuries. Behind the scenes, however, Rita had entered into a dark allience with Lord Zedd, a tyrannical emperor who ruled outside of the Alliance's jurisdiction. Rita's ultimate weapon was to be her own evil Power Ranger. Unable to complete her plan without alering Zordon too early to her betrayal, Rita made a deal with General Zod of Krypton, obtaining a power green crystal from the planet to complete her devious coin, powered by the spirit of the mythical dragon.

The Battle of Eltar ravages the planet. Hoping to spare the rest of the galaxy the death and destruction he has seen, and blaming himself for being so blind to his wife's betrayal, Zordon and teh Power Rangers sacrifice themselves to defeat Rita and Zedd. The Rangers use the power of the coins to encase Rita and her chief compatriots, her bodyguards Goldar and Scorpina, servants Squat and Baboo, and science officer Finster, into a "Space Dumpster" and hurtle her into space before she can ever use her own coin. Zordon expels his own energy to departicalize Zedd's forces, the evil emperor retreating just before his final defeat. Zordon's body is lost, but at the last minute his loyal robotic servant, Alpha 5, manages to capture his life force and seal it into an interdimensional life chamber. With the planet in ruins, Alpha departs with Zordon to track the exziled Rita across the galaxy. Her dumpster eventually lands on Earth's moon, and Zordon tasks Alpha with building a new Command Center in a lonely desert on the planets surface. Now occupying the home world of the legendary dinosaurs, the two set out to repower the coins and be ready for the inevitable return of Zedd.

Year One: A NASA mission to the moon, in hopes of drilling for frozen water below the surface to sustain possible future space stations, strikes Rita's dumpster and frees its occupants. The attack wakens Zordon from a long slumber, and he has Alpha summon five teenagers from nearby Angel Grove, California; Jason, Zach, Billym Kimberly, and Trini, to be bestowed with the reenergized Power Coins. The Power Rangers are reborn. Rita chooses her own teen, and outsider who just moved to Angel Grove named Tommy, to be her evil Green Ranger. After several months of conflict, and the near loss of Zordon, the Rangers learn Tommy's identity and are able to eventually break Rita's control. Tommy joins with the other five Rangers.

Year Two: Tommy begins to feel sick each time her morphs, and his powers seem to be diminishing. Scanning his body, Zordon discovers that the Kryptonian crystal used to partially power his coin has become unstable and radioactive due to the yellow light of Earth's sun. It is corrupting the power and slowly poisining Tommy. Each time he morphs, the posionous energy seeps deeper into his body. It will eventually destroy his body, leaving nothing but a mindless, power hungry green force that will threaten the entire planet. To purify his body and power, Tommy is sent on a quest into the furthest reaches of space top The White Hot Room, a pocket dimension that is host to the White Phoenix and White Power, two of the most powerful forces ever known. After proving himself worthy in a series of trials, Tommy's coin is infused with the White Light energy of his new guiding spirit, the White Tiger. He is also bestowed with Saba, a wise, sentient sword who will help guide Tommy and control the White Tigerzord. Tommy returns to Earth just in time to aid the Rangers in defeating the recently returned Lord Zedd

Year Three: The Rangers continue as protectors of Earth, along with the other heroes popping up all around the world. Jason, Zach, and Trini are called away on global volunteer work and are replaced with Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. Should the need ever arise again though, they will always be welcomed back as Power Ranger.

Year Four: As the Rangers prepare for high school graduation and the next steps in life, they realize that they will soon be going separate ways. Kimberly has already turned her coin over to Kat as she leaves to pursue Olympic dreams. Zordon blesses each of them, and though he will soon bestow new sets of powers and new young heroes, he leaves his original Rangers with their coins, ready to answer the call if they are ever needed again

Why this character? I love the Power Rangers, the original Mighty Morphin, still to this day, and would like to play a character outside of the main two comic universes.

What can you bring to the RPG?White Ranger Tiger Power

Provide a short sample post as your desired character, in three paragraphs or more and featuring at least one line of dialogue:To Be Completed

Not a huge sticking point, but is there any particular reason that Rita's crystal-dealie thing needs to be Kryptonian? The way I've got Krypton set up, it was an insular society without any real contact from other worlds-- and given that Zod is a militant Kryptonian supremacist, he'd probably be the last person to make deals with 'inferior' aliens.

(Apologies for not putting up the write-up for Krypton with my Superman app, but the thing's absolutely monstrous)
