Skaar: Son of Hulk by Greg Pak and Ron Garney

Crap with good art. But you know, just because you put syrup on dog droppings, that don't make it pancakes.

Read the first three issues and... did 4 come out yet? I love this book.

The only thing that sucks is they are not offerred by the subscription department of Marvel. I have to depend on a local comic book store to get tem and they are not highly dependable.

I guess you could always get it via tpb from instocktrades.com or amazon or something.

Here's an extremely brief summary of the first four issues.
In the first issue it introduces Skaar as a child and shows him growing up with these little bug/alien things, eating things, living the life of a savage. Then it introduces Axeman Bone, a barbarian leader who has become the main power on Sakaar since Crown City was destroyed at the end of PH. Then it shows Skaar fully grown and ready to kick ass.

Issue two shows Skaar battling Axeman's army and eventually kicking his ass. Then it introduces Princess Omaka, a pink chick who is an heir to the throne of Crown City with robot arms. She ends up meeting up with Skaar at the end of the issue.

Issue three has Skaar teaming up with Omaka and they battle Axeman's army, dragons, and a bunch of Wildebots. By the end they decide (with the help of Old Sam, Skaar's friend who has helped him grow and learn) to go to the prophet rock so Skaar can obtain the same old power that his mother had.

Issue for shows them going to prophet rock, they battle a bunch or monsters on the way there, they get there only to find that what Old Sam intended to find was taken by the Wildebots, and then a Shadow Priest begins battle with Skaar and he is surprisingly powerful. The fight will be shown in issue five.
Again, that was extremely brief and I'm leaving out a LOT. There are back-stories that are given for Axeman, Omaka, and a little history of Sakaar and how this all relates to the Planet Hulk time line and characters. There is also a second story that shows things from an entirely different perspective so it's not just all about Skaar -- not everyone thinks he is a savior, things aren't simply black and white, etc.

It's a pretty good series so far and it's very fast paced with a lot of action.

I'm glad that I am not the only one picking this up, it is so very awesome.
How are sales doing? Enough to keep it going?

They were pretty good the last time I checked.

He's a Shadow but he doesn't have any face painting. He also doesn't have color in his eyes. One Shadow in #4 called him a brother of the clear eyed shadow. I'm not too sure what that means but whatever.

All I am going to say is just wait until Skaar learns his true power from his father and his mothers Oldpower he is going to be every bit as strong as his father probably stronger coupled with the Oldpower with the strength he gains from that and the other power that provides Skaar is going to be super powerful.

Yeah, I think Pak is planning a family reunion with Hulk and Skaar but not for a while.
