Smallville panel at SDCC

Here's the schedule. How cool that Jeph Loeb is going to moderate. It makes me even more sad that I'm not going to be there.

10:00-11:00 Smallville Screening and Q&A— Comic-Con favorite Smallville returns with series stars Allison Mack, Justin Hartley and the introduction of Sam Witwer alongside new showrunners Kelly Souders, Brian Peterson, Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer to talk about the year ahead, answer fan questions and give an exclusive sneak peek at clips featuring the new villains for season eight. Award-winning comic book writer, Emmy-nominated film and television writer/producer, and Smallville alum Jeph Loeb (Heroes) will moderate the session.​

Oh, and Kristin is scheduled to be there to promote StreetFighter as well.

As i said in the spoilers page i hope we get some more cast members in the panel like phil morris, erica, and maybe a surprise tom showing up(but that is doubtful since he likes be to private and avoid cons and interviews). Also as i said i hope fans ask good questions like why doomsday was picked over other villains like metallo, why they are doing human doomsday/hulk rip off, the whole chloe/jimmy/doomsday triangle, and other stuff like jla appearances and other directions for the season.

I'm surprised Erica won't be there.. I believe she was last year, and at the Illinois convention, but now all of a sudden Allison is? Not that its a contest or anything lol, but it seems odd.

I really wish Tom would show up to one of these things someday.

I understand the man likes to stay out of the spotlight and whatnot, but would it really hurt to throw your faithful fans a bone and make an appearance, especially if this is the last season? This isn't necessarily a criticism of the man, but it would be nice to see him come out of his cave every once and a while and interact with his fans. That's all.

I really wish Tom would show up to one of these things someday.

I understand the man likes to stay out of the spotlight and whatnot, but would it really hurt to throw your faithful fans a bone and make an appearance, especially if this is the last season? Completely agree.
I am all for privacy and completely respect that.
But after 7 seasons, yeah I think the person playing the lead character should have shown up to at least one of these by now.

Especially if this is to be the last season as you said.

Just to say a simple -- "Thanks for keeping me employed for all these years."

yea or like i said if he isnt able to be their in person to have filmed a quick message to fans/comic con people. That could easily be done inbetween takes of filming the current episode they are working on. I believe they are still working on premiere or maybe have possibly even started episode 2.

I think the fact that he's normally working at the time of this con is a possible factor as well as the fact that he likes his privacy. Notice that he's made plenty of appearances for the CW and WB in the past, but always during the summer hiatus time.

Believe, me I was SO hoping he'd show up at this year's SDCC. Maybe he'll make a surprise appearance.

Maybe he doesn't do fan cons because his good buddy Jensen told him about the fan that literally JUMPED ON HIM from a stairwell at a con last year.
