Well, Wolverine has climbed to 170 million internationally, with help from it's Mexican premiere. Therefore it has reached $340 million worldwide. I'm thinking this may match Batman Begins worldwide total of $371 million. Another 10 million domestically and another $20 million internationally could happen. If not then $360 million worldwide seems assured.

Seriously? I don't know about the other people on this site, but I saw X-Men 4 times, X2 6 times, and X-Men: TLS 3 times in theaters.
I don't really have the money, but if it's good, and I really like it, I'll see a movie twice - this used to happen a lot more than it does now, but I've seen Star Trek twice and I've already seen UP and can bet I'll see it again before its run is done.
Cant see this making another $10 million domestic to be honest, but I think it will keep going internationally for a bit. It may match BB, but, thinking about it, that isnt anything special really. I just wonder if this outs the spin-off's/sequels in any doubt.
Too bad most of the cast is dead... the actors did the best job out of anyone on the production for sure. A better-written sequel with those guys would be fun to watch. Hopefully they get as good performances out of the next batch of mutants.
It's drops haven't been that bad after its second weekend. It lost 920 theaters, yet only dropped 51% in the face of a slew of other films this weekend. I'm thinking it can get that 10 million. It will probably get another 5 million in the next two weeks and that will put it at 175. Let's say another 3 million for the rest of its run and then you have the discount theater run which could boost it to 180 million. It's possible.
Internationally, it could reach 200 million if it continues to do well, and of course it would need to do well in Japan when it opens in September.
The worldwide haul isn't bad at all and should secure the sequel and spin-offs to go forward. If it matches Batman Begins with a similar budget, that got a sequel, so this one should as well.
Batman Begins actually came in a good few million under budget, it was more $130 million than $150 million, so looking at that Wolverine's haul doesnt look that good. But, with few action movie out between now and Transformers, it may show good legs and stay in the top ten. But at the same time Terminator Salvation and Star Trek are still about.
Well, Box Office Mojo lists Batman Begins budget at $150 million, which is understandable considering all the practical effects used. So, I'm going with that since BOM is usually good with putting accurate costs.
Either way, considering all the doom and gloom most were saying for Wolverine, it's actually doing fairly decent.
Yep, the cast obviously isn't dead, I think we'd have heard something about that.I think he/she meant characters.

It's doing far better than fairly decent. How many films can not only survive an internet leak and piracy but thrive to this extent? These are amazing numbers under those circumstances.
Well, according to Fox, its doing "decently." They adjusted their estimates of the films grosses a couple of times. Compared to other pirated films... and keep in mind movies like Star Trek did make their way to the internet, no, its not even close to amazing. The numbers are... decent, and had it been a better film, I think it would have done far better.
Loved UP too...Saw it in 3D Friday Midnite...though missed about 10 mins of the beginning...STUPID SISTER...![]()
I havent visited other threads but is anyone else ecstatic that Bryan Singer is now saying he's open to coming back to the franchise?!?!![]()

What was on the montage? We got there when [BLACKOUT]little Ellie was showing little Carl her adventure book. Sat in the front row too so had i not known about which actual scene the Toy Story 3 character cameo would show up, i totally would've missed it...[/BLACKOUT]
Please Bryan, don't go with Wolverine 2.![]()
You got there in time for the Carl/Ellie montage, then. What you missed was [blackout]little Carl watching a newsreel of that explorer he loved and how he was accused of fraud because they didn't believe him about the bird, then you saw Carl racing home with a balloon with the newsreel narrator still talking, and then him meeting Ellie in an abandoned house, where she gave him the grape soda pin. He'd lost his ballon and she tried to get him to walk across a board to get it, and he fell through and broke his arm.[/blackout]
His name is Lotso.Which was the Toy Story 3 character?
Haha! I just came back from seeing UP just a few hours ago (Great movie) and I remember that part, but dammit. It's too bad I didn't focus at the bottom left though *snaps finger*Nice! Thanks danoyse! Yea I thought *that* was the montage. So had i not read reviews about Muntz and who he was etc., i would've totally had been scratching my head.
