so...anyone watch PRIMEVAL?

New epi just aired in the UK...

Corny silly Fun.... but i loved it.

interesting to hear that Sarah is dead.... wonder how that happened...

Abbie playing S Club 7 to distract the Dino.... knew that was coming the moment she started playing with the sound system.

Tech Girl is a bit too perky for me... and the new dude is Meh, though the strange meeting he had with the old dude was intriguing...

Lester :awesome:

Next epi, 2moro night UK time :D

Most interesting indeed...

The main thing is it's back and Lester is still around. The CGI is also a hell of a lot better than the latest effort in Doctor Who with the flying shark. I'm honestly impressed with it.

On the down side I don't like new man, he annoys me. He's far too...something...dull? I'll say dull. I couldn't help but thing what Danny would have done if he was there, probably **** stuff in the face with a lead pipe...

That wasn't S Club 7...

i liked how he completely failed to hide his concern for Abby/Abbie & Conner

Haha, yeah, Lester's a big softy at heart. :D

I think the new series is off to a great start. I like the idea of Abbie and Connor surviving in the Cretaceous for a year but getting pushed out of the ARC specifically because they "let" themselves get stuck in the Cretaceous for a year. Not too sure about the new guy or his aged friend. I hope he's not Helen v2.0. I could do without yet another crazy f***ing with the team due to some half-baked prophecies.

Hopefully we'll find out a bit more about him tonight....

This first new episode was actually.. really solid. Characters acting like real people, logical decisions and conflicts, fantastic CGI, plenty of dinosaurs.. it's definitely one of my favorite episodes of the show. Shaking things up and setting yet another new status quo for the series was actually done right this time. I hope they can keep things interesting and not let it get stale.. or fall back into total illogical cheese.

I like the new guy a lot. Danny was a ****ing tool. I'm also glad we didn't have to suffer through another rediculous "origin" episode for all these new people. They're there, that's enough. No need to see more bs flashbacks to some wacky cop's childhood and how he stumbles into.. ugh. I'm getting pissed just thinking about it.

Anywho, off to a great start. Hope it keeps it up.

I thought the 2nd epi was very well done as well...

still wanna know what happened to Sarah...

Just watched the webisodes.. thinking the new guy and old guy might be on some kind of 12 Monkey's esque mission from the future to stop someone(a traitor?) from ruining the world.

I could care less about what happened to Sarah. I don't even remember her, other than she was the museum chick who stuck around for.. no reason. Even then, I only remember her when Cutter was still alive.. once he left whatever interactions she had with the team left 0 long term impressions on me.

I'm really liking that the guy from Kingdom of Heaven is in the show now, too.

I really don't like new Cutter. He's such a bloody dull bastard. And Becker looks so bored with the Tesla guns. At least Rex wasn't forgotten about, but the triplets apear to have been...

But I did enjoy seeing geeky mate again. I hope he pops up more.

Sarah stuck around to research instances of anomalies coinciding with myths and legends. Cutter surmised that they probably coincided a lot, since the anomalies would provide those kernels of truth that would allow the myths to spread so effectively. It was all part of Cutter's master plan to map every anomaly ever. I rather liked that research-centric approach. I'm missing it a bit now that the ARC is all "military, YEAH!"

But the new series is definitely off to a great start. Glad Connor got special dispensation to join the team. Kind of ridiculous that Philip was so certain Connor couldn't possibly be of use, even though, as Lester pointed out, he's got more experience with the anomalies than almost anyone else. In fact, my only disappointment with the episode was that Connor's tirade at the end was to Lester instead of Philip and that it didn't include some mention of the fact that he's basically Cutter's heir in terms of researching and understanding the anomalies.

Hope he starts dressing a bit more like himself soon, though. That tracksuit top looked really weird on him.

Yeah... I remember that conversation. But once he died she was just kind of there. This show has always had scientists doing stupid or impossible things, so I kind of like that they're at least having military guys do stupid and impossible things.

they must have changed or something for the US version, because that was not the song I heard. And trust me, I would know. (I love S Club and yes, I'm gay, so you don't need to ask:whatever:).

edit - yeah, just found a site saying it was changed for the US. Lame... When I download it later, I guess I gotta make sure I get the UK version, because I would have laughed my butt off at that bit.

Just watched the season premiere, good stuff.

Lester is probably my favorite character in the show. I like that he's a stuffed shirt government stooge but he's a good government stooge. It makes it a little refreshing that type of character is one of the good guys instead of a constant heel/antagonist type.

His repressed glee and enthusiasm over Connor and Abbie being back was great.

I like that the epilogue left no doubt that Connor and Abbie are now together. I appreciated that finally. Looks like Rex will be in the next episode, I was worried about what happened to him.

I hope they resolve the Danny issue at some point. I was sort of annoyed that Sarah got killed offscreen.

Well the series has already been shot and its been confirmed Jason Flemyng and Lucy Brown will appear. I don't know if its a flashback or to resolve what happened to their characters.

Also

There will also be ''a major revelation about the mystery behind the anomalies coming in episode 7 – which will be the climax of series 4.''

Well here's what we know. Matt Anderson the new field leader has a fake background. It was falsified by the old man he reports to who is clearly wealthy and has some big time connections as well as knowledge of rare plants. His real name is Matthew.

Going by the webisodes, it appears that Matt and the old man are trying to find someone. My theory is that they are trying to locate a catalyst of what created the grim future we saw in series 3 when the team went to the future that had the wrecked ARC. According to Helen, humanity or rather the ARC team is what caused it.

Matt I think might still be one of the good guys or his superior, the old man, might have a more sinister purpose.

I'm glad Lucy Brown will appear again. She's smoking.
