But the guys weren't that off and had this pointy thing they used to threaten me
.

That's uh, that's called a "knife".

Sorry that happened. I'm glad you're ok.

They used "a pointy thing to threaten you", eh? Was it a knife? Or, like, a hanger? Either way, I would've booked. They're not seriously going to kill someone over a wallet. Or would they? Hmmmm..

Glad you're safe though.

Was the... was the pointy thing a... a penis?

After the way customers acted at that Wal-mart on Black Friday, I would not be surprised.

ya prolly dont wanna hear it but $150 is a crazy amount of cash to be in your wallet...you certainly got lucky they didnt take the wallet...nice to know they didnt actually stab ya or take the whole thing though!

Thanks. And I know, I know--might sound like a lot of money to carry with you but since I had planned to go shopping earlier--oh well. Anyway, I think they got like $100

I don't think it was a knife. With the pressure the guy was pinching (pinching? pricking?) me with, it would've hurt a lot more. It did leave a mark, though.

So let me get this straight. You literally just got mugged, and you're here, posting about it, instead of you know, talking to the police, or talking to the police?
Like that's gonna get me anywhere. I'm better off calling Daredevil. Funny though, since you can see the police doing arrests some in that same block every other week. And posting here wasn't the first thing I did--I called my family, some friends, then came here to my room, and so on..

My friend had a mild seizure last night, and I must say... I thought long and hard about whether or not I should post a thread describing the incident in great detail/ asking for advice. :o
You can start serious threads like that but always expect half the people to make fun of it

Funny you mention that, i actually have a friend named Matt Murdok, i would give you his number but i think he's sleeping and has work tomorrow :csad:

..and it sucks. Yeah, it was my very first time. At the age of 29. I was cool (more like calm) because I was coming back home from the bar, so I had a couple of beers on me and was a bit off. But the guys weren't that off and had this pointy thing they used to threaten me.. I don't have a cellphone anymore and they took pretty much everything that was in my wallet (150+ bucks). Good thing they bought my plea of please don't take my wallet and let me go just like that (so I kept my credit card and ATM card). So, basically, I'm now a bit drunk and a bit more poor than I was yesterday. Oh well--there's always a first time for everything :down

Carry a pointy thing of your own next time. Hell, just to be safe. Carry a shining thing that makes a big noise when it goes off. :unishr:

I've never been mugged either,Vitality, and I am in LA too

Damn 'Ghast!! That's bad, but at least they didn't just stab you anyway after taking your ****.

I nearly got jacked on a train coming back from London once, luckily for me some police jumped on the train just as it was about to happen. First and only time the police have actually done something FOR me.

You still should have gone to the police...maybe you could have described what he looked like and stuff.

Sorry to hear that mate, but on the bright side you really do seem to have gotten off lightly, there are some right bastards in this world who wouldn't have been satisfied with taking $150 and leaving you be.

Still sucks though :csad:

If I was gonna mug someone I would have taken only the cash too, trying to use another persons credit or debt card leaves a paper trail that could get you caught and most people cancel those right away. It sucks you got jacked, but having that much cash on you might have actually saved you from much worse.

what were you doing with $150+ in your wallet? That's a lot to be carrying around with you.

heck I usually carry that much and more when I got business to deal

You're right about that Aeghast. i had my license plate stolen off my car and the cops could have cared less. Unless there's a dead body or a box of donuts to eat. Cops aint going to give you the time of day.Sorry you got your money taken, but glad you didnt get hurt man.

My house is burning down. I'm telling you guys first.
