Do we know if they are...i would expect Fox to pay their FX people a set amount at the begining of post production to complete the project?

I was just wondering the same thing but something tells me they may not. They might feel like they've got everything they wanted. They did things there way and got more money then either other X-movie and regardless of the general fan hatered of the movie they basically have walked away unphased with the choices they made. So I'm thinking they'll just flip us the bird and tell us to get over it. What you saw is what your gonna get.

But I still got my fingers crossed!

yeah i.e: Phoenix Rising at the lake and Phoenix firebird(doubt it).

That kind of stuff is never worked on for the DVDs...They'll probably just show a little bit of the work in some of the documentaries..

Some of the VFX in the film will probably be a little polished, but I doubt they'll add anything obvious..

Speaking of the dvd, according to this site X-Men 3 is supposed to be released on dvd October 3rd. 2006 but there has yet to be an official press release confirming the said date. http://www.davisdvd.com/news/news.html

I hope it comes in a 2 disc set first time out, but Fox will probably screw us over with a single disc edition first & then release another edition later.

I figured the same thing. They did what they wanted and still made more. I wouldn't be surprised if they skimped out on some special features.
