It made me post......the place's status just went up.Yeah, that has picked things up abit, lol.
Enjoy the quiet while it last. Besides, expectations are pretty high considering most people think Marvel having control over the movie means anything to the faithfulness of the adaptation.
I agree completely.
All eyes are on Marvel for this film. If this film doesn't at least equal the first SM (SM2 level expectations would be unfair, IMO) film Marvel will have no excuses. This is their chance to get their characters right. No excuses, no one to blame. Put up or shut up.
If they can't get their own characters right......?

Wow, really? Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the character and I don't read the comics but I always thought Iron-Man was a huge name in Marvel. I always thought he was close to the level of Batman, but just never had a movie before![]()
That's a bit of an unfair expectation. If Superman and Batman can't even match the sucess of the Spider-man movies, why will this movie be a failure if it doesn't?
Not box office wise, I meant in terms of quality. I think the quality of the first Spider-man film is realistically attainable. As much as I would like to have high expectations for this film, the lack of high quality comicbook films other than Spider-man and Supes, along with the poor treatment other comicbooks have gotten lately on film, have me jaded towards the pessimistic side.
It takes a lot of talent, resources and true vision and understanding of these characters to bring them to life as they should, and right now other than the Spider-man and Supes films, I just don't see it or feel from any other comicbook films.
It still amazes me that after so many attempts, there are really only two franchises that actually got it mostly right. Supes and Spidey felt like their comic counterparts--not bad, half-assed, ego-driven, budget minded attempts at comicbook films. Why is it so hard for other studios to follow suit?

With his most recent MySpace post, Jon tried to give that impression. However, our experience with Jon shows that he chooses his words very carefully and, as your Transformers icon suggests, there's more than meets the eye here.is it true mr jackson part in this film fell through![]()

I'll be there, but it's really easy for me since i live in SD.
By the way today i just came from downtown to the airport and all over the light posts they started hanging Comic-con banners with the Iron Man movie poster on them (banner form). Last year and a couple of years before it was just The Spirit on the banners now for this year its Iron Man.
He said he'd go and snap a few pics of it and post 'em.yup , Its this one:

Marvel won't give up on this, because it's too early, and they already sunk a **** load of money into this. However, because it's so early, there's not a whole hell of a lot to discuss.he's relatively unknown to those who aren't avid comic fans.
I'll agree with you there. I do hope that it is taken with all seriousness. I'm a little upset that we're learning Iron Monger is going to be the badguy and not Mandarin. But I'm still keeping an open mind.
