So, uh... Wolverine vs. Thor?

Read the next issue. Thor kicks Rulk's ass. It makes about as little sense as Rulk kicking Thor's ass in the previous issue, but it's Loeb. What are you gonna do? :o

Thor kicked Rulk's a**?! Are you kidding? Rulk beat Thor like a rented mule, that's for sure, but in the next ish, Thor got in only one or two decent licks against Rulk - nothing spectacular, including a hit to Rulk's knee?! It didn't even make him fall down! Was that supposed to impress us?

In addition to the humiliating beating Thor got in the animated movie Hulk vs. Thor, Marvel has just decided to make Thor into a near-indestructible punching bag, IMHO, whenever he encounters the Hulk. Once upon a time he was as strong - if not stronger - than the Hulk. But those days are gone. If they ever meet again, get ready for a vicious beating.

Rulk even admitted that Hulk probably saved his ass from getting kicked by Thor when he broke up the fight to take on Rulk himself.

You do realize Rulk beating Thor is completely illogical and was only done so Marvel could expose their new cash cow?

I mean, Rulk threw him to the moon. Wha...? And Rulk wielded Mjolnir? Wha...? That right there should indicate what an utter fallacy that confrontation was.

Mental note: tricon7 is a Hulk fanboy; ignore everything he says.

;)

DACMAN?!?! WHERE?!?! /shifty eyes

Oh wait, not DACMAN, whew....

That means... ANOTHER HULK FANBOY!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!! :argh:

At any rate, it's canon, no matter how bad the writing is, which also means it's canon when Thor came back and roflstomped his ass.

Also, is it just me, or is anybody else digging Deathstrikes new look, and is just as confused about Sabertooth being alive?

The hell? When did victor come back?! *is so sooooo behind*

Deathstroke's new look sure as hell beats her old one. I didn't know Sabretooth was alive again, either.

Haha, by "Deathstroke," I meant "Deathstrike." Just in case anyone was confused there.

I'm dumb. :csad:

What's with all the commie talk? Is France just now catching up and getting its own red scare or something? :oldrazz:

???

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion, but a fanboy of the Hulk I am not. I liked his comics, sure, but Thor was always my fav. I had every issue, going all the way back to JIM #83.

Thor rules, dude.

I was just messing with you. Hence the winky face: ;)

The implication I got from whatever issue came after Rulk beat the piss out of Thor was that Thor was holding back initially and, when he came back in that issue, he had Rulk at his mercy. He only got a couple hits in, true, but Rulk seemed to be taken totally off guard and Thor only stopped because the Hulk showed up and demanded that he be the one to take Rulk down.

That seems to be how several others around here read it too, if the other comments in this thread are any indication.

Yeah, that's what happened. Thor came back, beat the stuffing outta Rulk, then Hulk and A-Bomb showed up and wanted to finish him off. Thor, in his ever enduring benevolent mercy, obliged.

Yeah, he and the Hulk were kind of creepily nice to each other. I can't remember the last time one of them didn't piss the other off before that, either by the Hulk being stupid and endangering people or Thor, y'know, existing in the Hulk's general vicinity.

Still, Thor gets in so few licks these days against the Hulk, that I'd rather him not "hold back", but instead get a few punches in and redeem himself to his waiting fan base.

Of course, the Hulk sells at the box office and in Walmart and such, so Marvel feels it must butter its bread by having Thor always put his neck under the Hulk's foot.

I'm looking forward to the Thor movie, though, so I can see if the pendulum might swing the other way. I just hope the film doesn't revolve solely around his hammer or Asgard or something. I'd like to see him exhibit some of his legendary strength. But IMHO, we won't see a lot of it. Too many facets of his abilities for the film to focus on one aspect. I hope I'm surprised.

Dude, you're preaching to the choir. I've been sick of Thor getting his ass kicked consistently by the Hulk and Juggernaut while Marvel continues to give us lip-service about his being one of their top-tier powerhouses for years now. I think most people view him as a weather manipulator first and a strongman second, hence why he's got so many pathetic showings. It's a shame, but it's something every Thor fan just has to get used to. :csad:

It's my insult of the month.

Hulk has Thor sense, but it wasn't tingling. :csad:

It's a trap! He's a Hulk fanboy, don't fall for it, Corpy!! :cmad:

Which was apparently fused from Wolverine's rage. :l

Yeah, it is dumb as hell.
