And then delete the thread that caused the issue.

Also, I would make no mention that it was I who did that, leaving the non-moderators oblivious to any goings on.

Probably both. Hypester A is obviously against gays, but Hypester B could be over reacting. Either way, Hypester A should calm down about constantly mentioning his view on gays and such. Not every thread here has to mention gays, so it would be off topic. And I am sure Hypester B isn't in threads about gays all the time, so it would have to be off topic in many occasions.

As I mentioned, no warning but small PM asking to tone down gay jokes by request, and tell them they are on notice.....let B know that there is no strong evidence to take any action but you will follow the situation as much as possible, but to PM him if A continues with gay taunts....if there is evidence after you told him to tone down, then give A is given a warning and told the next time they will be given a probationary ban....

Posting pornography on public boards is condemned by the site's rules. However, Hypester B is now claiming that Hypester A is sending him heterosexually-themed porn via PM. Please note that no derrogatory comments are included, but it is a known fact that Hypester A hates gay individuals. Hypester B feels that the harrassment has elevated to a new level and blames you--the moderator--for only choosing to "monitor" the situation from Scenario 1.

How would you mediate the conflict?

KEY NOTE: According to the site's rules, PMs (private messages) are inadmissable for judgement and should not be posted publicly. However, Hypester B has forwarded you the PMs containing porn for proof.

"A" should be put on probation, no one deserves that kind of treatment, but probation first, since it is in a pm.
