According to Deadline, Paramount is reporting an intake of $6.2 million between the Wed Fan events and yesterday's preview screenings. Last projection I saw was $60 to $70 Million.

Man what a blast, one of favorite movie experiences, helped that my 6 year is the worlds biggest sonic fan, his mind was blown, even the wife enjoyed Carrey’s performance and the Rachel (and of course Shemar) stuff.

Jim Carrey as Robotnik was so over the top that it worked so well. He fully committed to the role and dial-up his megalomaniac ego to the unthinkable degree of insanity.

I hope he returns for the third film as a fully formed fat Eggman. we got a tease of it in Agent Stones makeover holographic imagery design concept briefly.

I think Tails voice is the current VA for the character in shows/games right now, which is a pretty cool thing!

Looks like the film is going to have a good opening weekend.

I think Turning Red should've received a theatrical release. I doubt it would've bombed.

Well deserved. You know else I loved, Sonic in the temple getting to the emerald, taken straight out of the games even with the Knuckles ‘boss fight’ at the end of it.

Yeah, my theater went nuts at the end credit scene, and so did I. The movie made me feel like a kid again. It was cool to hear kids & adults go nuts over it haha! I've watched theater reactions to it on YT too. Glad so many people are digging it.

I’m not sure, it looks to be one of the more successful videogame movies commercially and critically, but I don’t think it’s quite broken the glass ceiling in terms of raising the bar quality wise.
