Well with the emails and way feige been talking. It makes sense all the creative side of things are likely being left to maevel. And sony just gets a film by marvel where they foot the bill get there name on it. But in reality it's all marvel. Like we know sony will get money made from film out of this. Where as marvel just get merch sales from. And knowing spidey alone gets them a couple billion a yr. Marvel gets what they would of from the movie from the merch. So again everyone if the film is good will win.

True but I recall hearing Ike is a penny pincher too. Like I said earlier. Everything in emails shouldn't be bearing to how things are now since deal was made. Like why would sony who we know is in money woes want to shell out a couple million dollars to marvel for marvel own film. When marvel has there own money for it. Sony I think will only be covering costs for solo spidey.

I think if I read those email right. That 5% thing is more on sony trying to squeeze some money out from marvel. Not the other way around.

As the email says looks like sony was only theorizing how much they could make in films or made in pass. And if they did co work work with marvel. I don't think they would be financing a marvel studios film. What would sony get out of that

That email is directly from Ike Sony guys were just fwd it to each other. Sony needs to make some kind of money from Spider-Man next year. They aren't making sinister six anymore.

The pdf where I got the email from has two options for Sony from Marvel. 30% or 50% cofi for Spider-Man but both options had only 5% for Cap/Avengers. And the email comes directly from Ikes @marvel.com email address in November

Yea but everything we heard so far about the deal is. Marvel doesn't get any films box office money in solo films. And sony only gets money from box office in solo films. Not other marvel studios films. Just like sony gets nothing from merch sales since those rights are in marvel hands.
