From the e-mails they were looking at Sony getting 25% of the Civil War profit. Then Marvel would get 25% of the Spidey film. Marvel did walk away from that deal (Oct/Nov) so has probably changed a bit.

I talked to Stefan and we are on the same page. If we do this, it should be a two picture “crossover” arrangement. They produce Capt America/Avengers with Spider-Man appearing and we own at least 25% of the film under a co-fi arrangement. And marvel character(s) appear in our next Spider-Man movie and they own 25% under a co-fi arrangement.

We are getting totally positioned in the Aaron stuff

He wants to get paid
We paid him his insane fee on flashboys
When the poker movie came around we didn't want to not be in Aaron business so we wanted that too
After social network jobs and flashboys Aaron and mark took the project to the town on the "pretense" that we don't have money
They went to every single studio
Not just Donna and stacey ( not real meetings blah blah)
I don't care if Aaron is sleeping with the girl or not
I don't care if it becomes a beat seller
They are treating us like ****
He wants to write them together or poker movie first
We waited for him to write jobs for 3 years ( 2 anyway)
When mike told them we wanted him to write flashboys first ( how long ago did they make the deal) ari sent an email saying he was pulling out of the project

None of Scott's movies are helping us
He isn't here
He makes everyone jump every time he feels like it
He doesn't do his job
So if people we employ aren't doing their jobs them we are not doing ours
We can't live like this

It seems like she's saying that she loves Drew BUT because its no longer a Sinister 6 movie, but a Spider-Man movie, he is no longer a good fit. "I would not have hired him to direct the next spuserman movie after the Marc Webb experience". I think she wants a "action director", something Drew isn't considering his inexperience.

She also says:
Justin linn and Doug Liman are looking for movies for the summer
Maybe we should replace aeth Gordon

aeth Gordon -> Drew Goddard considering what she goes on to talk about. She seems like she wants to REPLACE him with an action director ala Justin Lin or Doug Liman.

Obviously Lin will be tied by Star Trek, and but Liman would be good (Edge of Tomorrow is great). Would like a director with more experience in comedy though.
 
I wouldn't assume anything from these emails.

The final deal that was reported had Marvel fully financing the films with Spidey guest appearances and Sony fully financing the films that star Spidey. Sony's money is coming from having an invigorated Wall-Crawler and the ability to borrow star characters from the MCU.

She means SETH Gordon, the guy they have hired to adapt Uncharted, the videogame that has the bounty hunter Nathan Drake as the protagonist.

Spider-Man is an action movie, but S6 is what, a 2 1/2 hour character study?

Pascal is no longer running things at Sony and after Feige's recent comments, Marvel is clearly steering the ship creatively.

I don't know. From the Sony emails, Drew Goddard relationship with Marvel TV arm wasn't good. In fact, it was awful. He didn't leave Marvel in good terms. I don't know if he would be the guy that they would be going for Spider-Man. MAYBE if they get to pair him up with Whedon, but Whedon doesn't seem too keen on working anything Marvel's scale right now.

So there's that. Seriously not sure if Marvel would want to work with Goddard again. Which is kinda sad because other than his idiotic Sinister Six notes, I could see him been a great asset within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not sure what will come out of this, but I'd say that Drew Goddard endeavor with Marvel since Daredevil is complicated at best.

Yeah, it's clear from interviews Joss is burnt out. I doubt he'd be doing anything on this....As for Drew, it seems he may have burned a few bridges with Ike & crew, so who knows? I think he'd be GREAT for this and hope he gets the gig. I just don't see any "big" names touching this at the moment, but we'll see.

If it got to the point that they had threaten litigation, then goddard definitely isnt their top candidate to helm the new spidey. I think Marvel can find someone better than goddard to helm it
