Why ceramic? They'll just break far to easily, especially if, like me, you have a tendency to get angy and throw things when games don't go the way you want them.

Thats like buying a ferrari knowign you have a tendancy to blow up cars.

I don't think it is racist, but it sure as hell looks like it.

Whether it's intentional or not, it's pretty damn stupid on several levels. That anyone wouldn't realize it could appear racist in this day and age is dumb, for one. Also, it's an incredibly dumb concept for advertising a new color. Why is the new color of the same system fighting the old color? Any recognition is good recognition they say, but not if you're a huge company that everyone already knows. The only thing this accomplishes is putting a negative tint on your product. Terrible advertising.

Agreed. I don't see racism. I just see stupidity.

I personally believe that all at Sony are racist, and they decided to proclaim this racism to the world via said edvertisement.

"To hell with sales figures!" One rep, was quoted as saying, as another burnt crosses on the lawn of suspected gang land criminals, Mr & Mrs Parks and thier two children.

Alternatively, I do not believe the above as I am not a sensationalist moron.

People are being way too nitpicky. I don't think it's racism, but like Harlekin said, it is pretty obvious and open to all kinds of interpretations, which sometimes nails down to, of course, racism.

It's just an advertisement.

Everythings racists nowadays. They might as well sue Kindereggs since it shows everything black is secretly white on the inside.

They're set up with the black-skinned person as "Black" and white-skinned "White". Black is in a submissive position to White, and the caption says "White is Coming".

I can easily see where racist assumptions can be made.

And I don't think it was intentionally racist. Some ad exec wanted something visually striking (which this is) and didn't step back and try to see how others could interpret it.

it also helps if you see all of the ads.

Well, that last one is the exact opposite of the original one. Whoever loses, Sony would still lose.

They should do a Yellow psp. Harder working and can do more intricate games.

Y'know, it's only with the last image of the actual advertisement that I could tell it was two women.

I don't think it's racist but it does look dodgy and I can see why some people would jump on it.

You know what I thought was racist was the commercials with the squirrels with the exaggerated stereotypical voices. But this is pretty bad too. :down

i think it is being taken out of context. many of the companies who make handheld systems like to offer a variety of colors, and sony is doing exactly that.

This one is too racist looking though...second one with the black on white chick is not as bad since the positions are more seductive.
Gotta be sarcasm.

I dont think they meant it to be racist and people are just taking it too seriously. The bilboard is just acting as an anology of people and PSP's
