you don't tell me what to do.

I'm not telling you im asking you, could you just post the link without the IMG tags?????????????????????????

No. Some b**** in the games forum posted it. I don't know where the b**** found it.

I'd like a Polish PSP, it's actually a Nintendo Gameboy.

I wouldnt call this racism, just ****ty marketing.
People just need to stop thinking everything is racism

a lot of people are complaining about these ads, but its important to remember these were put up in Holland, not the US. Holland isn't dealing with racism issues like in the US, where its still a hot topic.

The image, I will admit is pretty under-toned but beyond that I fail to see a direct relation to racism. But thats just me, what do you guys think?

I dont see a link to racism either, its just a sign.Do people get insulted that easily today?

This ties in to the fact that, I don't think you're necessarily a closet racist with a guilty conscience or a cry-baby professional victim...necessarily, when you're overly sensitive about things like this, but that definitely, the good aspects of "color-blindness", as mentioned by Dr. Martin Luther King jr., are not robust enough in America yet.

:D, I said "bust".

whether through poor sentence construction or my own tiredness, I'm not sure I understood much of what you were trying to say there... so I'll just say... thanks?

hee, people can't stand to see 2 empowered females locked in combat, which has traditionally been the baillywick of males.

Sexist bastards.:down

It's not a big deal in Holland because...wait for it....THERE ARE NO BLACK PEOPLE IN HOLLAND! I go to Holland, it's gonna look like a Milk Dud in a sea of marshmallows.

Sorry, guy...But there are a lot of Caucasians (we're not actually "WHITE" btw) in America, and I have to tell you, the other billboard with the Black person overtaking the White person didn't do s*** to me.

Again, I'll say, I am completely subserviant to a Black Woman. Before I took over the head position at work, I was under this GAY BLACK dude. Both make/made more than I will make for years, should I continue to work at dream-job.
The problem here is not that Sony despises Nikkas (far FROM it, they want ALL races to pour out cashloads to buy their products!),
The problem is hypersensitivity, and the fact that Japanese big-wigs seem to've over-estimated the public and it's attitudes toward race.

I'll be damned if, through all of the wonderful friendships I've had with people who happen to have a little more melanin in their skin, I'm going to applaud this "walking on egg shells" attitude.:down

Grow the f*** up.:(

Again, All of my business superiors are, or have been, Black. I still don't earn what a Black Gay Man earned even though I do exactly the same job he did.

Please.

Unless I'm mistaken, they are definitely dealing with much worse (or at least much more overt) race problems. Just not with black people.

errrrr....try walking though the streets in amsterdam.

there are loads of black people in Holland, mainly of surinamese descent, but plenty of africans as well
hell, the dutch are probably the most tolerant people on the planet.(the race problerms in Holland, like a lot of places, are more based around arabic immigrants. obviously, the verrrrryyyyy relaxed dutch attitude towards sex isnt going to go down well with an even slightly militant person of any religion)

In fact , thinking about it, the only really surprise about these ads is that the two women aint smoking massive joints whilst having sex, and getting paid to have sex.

Whether it's intentional or not, it's pretty damn stupid on several levels. That anyone wouldn't realize it could appear racist in this day and age is dumb, for one. Also, it's an incredibly dumb concept for advertising a new color. Why is the new color of the same system fighting the old color? Any recognition is good recognition they say, but not if you're a huge company that everyone already knows. The only thing this accomplishes is putting a negative tint on your product. Terrible advertising.

I agree, except controversy draws attention to the product.

you know what this is...it's shock advertising...and it's working. people are talking about their advertisement...which in turn gets their product on your mind...don't think for a minute that these marketers didn't think it could be conceived as racist...it's kind of obvious as hell.

i also happen to hold the same opinion as Wilhelm on the oversensativity of people...just thought i'd throw that out there.

I don't know, but I think they could have got their point across by simply having 2 japanese women, one dressed all in black one all in white.
