Spectacular Spider-man vs Spider-man Tas who is better

actually mj isnt jackpot it was a mutant chick who was registered to be jackpot but at the last moment she backed out of doing it and some other lady took the name and was using drugs to gain powers, but she died due to the drugs mixing in her body and some other things. So then spidey told the original chick it was her responisblity to be jackpot and she hasnt been seen again since. But yea their is a load of many other ways they could have gotten spidey's id secret again. But the main thing is joe q and his hatred of peter and mj's marriage. I believe he been waiting for years to break up the marriage. As for the secret going back in the bottle two ideas i had would have been this. 1. loki owed peter a favor from a few yrs back from when that whole mystism angle was going on with jms and maybe he could have done something to make the world forget peter was spidey. 2 maybe spidey could have gone to doctor strange and had him cast a spell over the whole world an/or gone to reed and had him create some gizmo to make the world forgot. The whole world not knowing spidey at all is so strange now. Cause atless heroes who knew before hand should have still knew who he was and same goes with villains like norman, harry, venom(brock/garren) and a few others.

I will ALWAYS be fond of Spider-man TAS. That was THE cartoon for me in my childhood that really indoctrinated me into being a Spiderman fan and a Marvel Comics fan. Not only that but the TAS’ rendition of Peter Parker I found so relatable and personable and I can say a lot of my own personality was shaped around Christoper Daniel Barnes’ Peter Parker. I love Spider-man TAS.

With that said. Man, the show does not age well. Its still fun to watch but Holy Moly are the production limitations glaringly obvious now. The animation is downright pathetic in some episodes where there is barely any new footage being used. You cant not notice the continued recycled footage in every single episode which to this day baffles me because this was such a tremendously successful show i would THINK they, you know, would get more money in later seasons to improve the quality of the show. But as the show progresses it gets increasingly bad and distracting. There are some episodes where even Hannah Barbara would be like “damn, you’re that broke?!”

Not only that, the story pacing is incredibly manic in a lot of the episodes, like they’re marathon racing through as much story as possible in 22 minutes. And the action scenes are rough, i found out later that the network mandated that Spiderman was never allowed to throw a punch.

So, I gotta give it to Spectacular. Beautiful animation, great, smooth storytelling, great voice acting, lovingly faithful to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s stories and adds a modern twist, overall just a quality cartoon all around that kids and adult comic book fans could love. It wouldve been the GOAT had it not been cut short. I still demand they resurrect this in some way shape or form.
