Sounds like 26 new seconds of battle scenes. I seem to recall seeing behind the scenes stuff of a cut scene in the battle building (up the building after the bank heist) where Ock and Spidey are actually inside a room.

i read on the web that it'll be released April 24th, 07 on DVD... you can read that, just search "Spider-Man 2 Extended" on Google.

10 bucks says there is no "Sam Raimi cut" and it's the full theatrical movie beginning to end that Fox didn't show on Thanksgiving.

And we'll probably get behind-the-scenes footage of "SM3" but probably the same peeks at what Fox showed. "In this movie blah blah blah (new scene) and me and MJ blah blah blah (new scene)..."

I really think you guys are taking it too seriously. When they showed spiderman 2 on fox it was three hours long with the comericals and they even cut things out of the movie when they showed it. Don't expect a bunch of brand new director cut footage.

i think fx will show new footage of spidey3, different than the one on fox. i also think that the sam raimi cut of spidey2 will feature new scenes, that is why it is called sam raimi cut.

You do not understand. EVEN IF we only get 2 or 3 minutes of new footage in this "Extended Sam Raimi Cut", it is STILL CONSIDERED a new version. Because Sam himself has taken the day or so out of his life to decide what he wants to put in the new cut, and now he's delivering it to us. Besides, when you consider the recent announcement of the "Extended Edion DVD" of Spidey 2 hitting in April, there is no doubt that what we'll see on FX IS that cut. And if it is that cut, then WHY in the hell would they still advertise something that is not new at all, even if it does just have 2 or 3 minutes of new footage added?

Let me know if you find an answer to that one.

Well said. The mere idea that they would promote this, and in the end not show anything new is absurd.

I don't know why Sony just doesn't add an extra 15 to 20 minutes of action scenes. Imagine them announcing 2 more action scene of Doc Ock/Spidey in the SM2's Extended Edition. Just use a lot more traditional action sequence that are non-CGI to cut cost. Sure it would cost a few millions more, but they would make that money back and more a week after its release.

im actually a little more interested in the "extended version" of spiderman 2 more than clips of spiderman 3... but then again id like to see what they show

I feel the same. I don't really expect any major Spidey 3 clips yet and I'm interested to see what was left out of Spidey 2.
