Sequels Spider-Man 4 in 2010?

Eh, might not be true but if 2010 then not hard to believe Spidey 2 and Spidey 3 were 3 years apart as well...

I think it might be true. I mean it sounds like the right amount of time. I do hope it's true though it may not be.

I hope it's NOT true, I'm hoping for a 2011 Spider-Man 4 release date. I can't go through another May with Pirate 4, Shrek 4 and Spidey 4. Tell me that these movie studios are not this f---ing dumb. These three films should avoid each other by at least 6 months to a year apart.

What's dumb about them?, they just wanted to see who had the biggest guns way I figure.

Another Shrek?I thought they did all they could with that franchise.

Why would SM4 need to take three years to make, they could easily make it come out in 09.

^ We'll see... it's either gonna be 09 or 10!...

Check out the beond report for bond 23 coming out in 2010, they're also saying that sm4 may POSSIBLY come out in 2010 also. To me, that sounds like the earliest sm4 will come out is 2010, so there's still a good chance it may come out later. However, what that also means is, you TMags and Dunst fans can kiss both of them god by because they're not coming back. TMags especially, will be too old....yes!!!!

How do you figure that, nothing is for certain, but if the film is really coming out 2010, we'll know soon enough?

2010 is really the only time slot available for SM4... 2011 is still a viable option... but the supporting cast is beginning to put on some age... you would hate to recast Baker and Simmons. It's not about the block busters in a given summer... its about the amount of comic book films in a given summer... and for that reason 2010 makes sense... Marvel is booked with their franchises so 08 and 09 are out of the question. Keep in mind DC has TDK and possibly a supes sequel or a JLA in 2009... the next two years are absolutely booked with comic book films... 2010 is what? FF 3 and SM4... that's about it... and maybe some lower profiled DC/Marvel characters. The comic book slate won't exactly be booked up in 2010... besides Shrek, POTC, Transformers 2, really have no real tim table... Shrek 4 can easily be 09... POTC and Transformers are more likely 2011... 2010 is a little too soon for POTC 4... lets be honest here... that franchise is not likely to get 5/6... and Tranformers can really come out any time... its all about the CGI anyway, you aren't really tied down to a cast there while with POTC... you are.

TMags'll be 35/36....I don't see him being in a spidey costume and if the studio are planning to make another 3 movies, they might as well cast a new lead for the next 3 installments instead of having a 36 year old TMags to do 4 and cast someone else for 5 and 6.

Just stating the obvious here as it has already been pointed out numerous times... but even if T-Mags and Dunst are back for SM4 with Raimi... the franchises will be running itself into a dead end... especially if you make MJ and Peter live happily ever after by SM4's end... no one will be interested in seeing SM5/6 with new actors playing those respective roles if all the seeds Raimi planted from the start are concluded in SM4... and the franchise has way more potential than just four movies... so keep the cast interchangable and start a new rotation now itself.

Exactly!

Sean Connery to many is regarded as the difinitive and THE only Bond. Everyone else just doesn't exist but imagine if Saltzman and Cubby bought into that and decided to stop making Bond movies just because of what some closed-minded fans thought...heh. spider-man was here before, during and will be here after TMags and co.

so, if NOT Raimi, than WHO should direct "SPIDER-MAN 4"??? I still would wanna see James Cameron direct a spidey flick... but who would you like to see?

There's already a thread for that.

Say no to Cameron, and his web-dream Spidey

I've said it before but the wachowski bros would be perfect for directing a spidey flick but I'm not sure about them writing, although chances are, they could probably write a better script than anyone else who's written a spidey screenplay for the past 3 flicks.

As long as Tobey returns I'll be happy.

Don't put your money on it ^^^
oh I will...

but seriously i don't see why Toby and kirsten wouldn't come back to their probably most paid movies...

I see your point, but you have to think like a movie studio (Sony). They may just want to see if they can get one more Spidey film out of Raimi/Maguire/Kirsten with SM4. And worry about a recast with SM5-SM6 when they get to that.

I agree 100%.

The Wachowski Brothers would be a great choice, but I often wonder would the high-profiled Wachowski Bros. take on another director's franchise?

I wonder.
