Ugh, Sony is going SM3 on us again

I hope Raimi gets to make his movie this time. He already let the studio bang in their buck and did the film they wanted with Venom. Repay the man, and let him make his movie. It's Spider-Man. People will see the movie, even with Vulture as the main villain (I actually think Vulture can easily make a good cinematic villain).

I hope this doesn't come out in 2011 now. I'd rather have this delayed a whole year with this kind of turmoil going on, in case Raimi decides to do anything like bow out if Sony keeps forcing his hand. I am now worried about this film. Not because I think Raimi is losing his marbles or Vulture would suck as a villain. But, because Sony has clearly not learned from there mistakes. I think Raimi can deliver us another great SM film, even with Vulture as the main villain, and though I like SM3, clearly it could have been a lot better, and Raimi knows where it went wrong. Sony doesn't, and seem to be heading down the same path. This is a bunch of crap, and they need to let Raimi make his movie. If they don't, then SM4 will be the death of this series. Sony needs to understand that.

This series started off with so much promise, and I can't believe Sony is going FOX on us, and letting this series fall like they are. If Sam leaves this production, I can honestly say I don't blame him. He played their game when he made SM3 and compromised his vision, and I don't want to see him forced to do that again. This is such BS, and Sony better get their act together. If they force Raimi to walk now, the series will be set back several years and need a complete reboot (which I can't see coming sooner than 2013...maybe late summer 2012 if they're lucky).

I personally want Lizard. I think it makes the most sense. Doc Conners has been in all 3 films so far. And I'm a bit tired of all the villains being connected to Peter personally, but with Lizard I think it could still work.

Studios really should have no input on movies. So many movies that were mediocre or bad that could have been good thanks to studio interference.

It's why we got Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane instead of Keri Russell; Kate Bosworth is more mainstream attractive.

It's why X3 and XOW weren't on par with the first two X-men movies.

It's COMPLETELY why Batman & Robin is one of the worst movies ever made, superhero or not.

It's why Daredevil got a PG-13 cut in theaters. Fox being greedy as usual.

It's why the Fantastic Four movies were mediocre and Jessica Alba was cast as Sue Storm.

It's why the second and third TMNT movies were kid friendly. Granted I liked the second despite this, but the third one however........

It's partly why SM3 wasn't on par with the first two and why we're having problems now. If Venom hadn't been forced into the movie just to sell tickets, then he'd be the obvious choice for SM4, because the goblin arc would been finished and Vulture would be out of the way.

ahhhhhhhhh it drives me crazy too man you can almost here Norman Osborn saying "Back to formula?!"

u know they really messed up on Spidey 3. i still loved the movie but what i mean is the first 2 spidey movies had consistency and they did that with some kind of a cliffhanger. at the end of Spider-Man 1 MJ wondered if Peter was Spider-Man because of the kiss at the cemetary. Harry Osborn wanted to revenge. Spider-Man 2 Harry now knows his best friend is Spider-Man and finds his father's Goblin Lair. MJ also finds out who Peter is and wants to be with him. Spider-Man 3 Peter forgives Sandman? and Venom dies? What the Mother F? no no no they should've ended like this Sandman gets his ass kicked just like he did and hears his ex-wife's voice in his head a flash back: "you maybe even killed a man"? "it wasn't like that i had a good reason for what i was doing and that's the truth" "you and the truth sitting in a cell eating 3 meals a day" "theres the truth that you left behind" remembering when he last saw his daughter and he takes out the locket and looks at it and flashback again "i'm not a bad person i've just had bad luck that's all" and he gives one last look at Venom who is watching Sandman have a change of heart and says "good luck" Venom/Brock rages and says no "we had a deal" Harry and Spidey kick Venoms ass and ask him how he likes to be double teamed. they still discover how the pipes soundwaves affect Venom/or the symbiote so they both try to remove Brock from the symbiote Harry is banging the pipes while Spidey pulls Eddie out the web and wraps him up in webbing they both chuck lots of pumpkin bombs at the symbiote they both hop on the glider and Spidey has MJ along with brock and they flee the scene. brock sees what is about to happen and screams nooooo!! but he's helpless in the webbing. the bombs cause an even bigger explosion and all four land by all the help from police and paramedics. cops take Brock away the crowd cheers Spidey on MJ and Harry are being attended by the paramedics. Harry says he doesn't need it and both MJ and Spidey realize Harry has been healing slowly but perfectly. Brock takes one final look at the fire ontop of the construction and gives Spidey a mean look "i hate you and what you've done to me will not go on unpunished" "shut up ya lunatic" says the cop driving him off to jail. a happy ending at Harry's place with all 3 friends and Aunt May. and this time its his birthday. Pete and Harry talk about forgetting about the past and moving on. Harry tells him about his plans with Oscorp and how he plans to use it for a greater good kind of like Spider-Man 2 and how he would never let something like Doc Ock happen again then they question that they never found him in the river. no need for Doc Ock to reappear for a cliffhanger but the movie should've ended with this cliffhanger...Brock is in a cell and a man in the cell next to him has a mirror trying to hold it out of his cell and catch a glimpse of Brock. "you don't look so good friend" ..."i don't feel so good"..."i need...i need" "what a drink? a smoke? man you'll be lucky if they give u air in here to breathe...the name's Cletus what's your name friend" Eddie walks to the cell window where he can see outside but his head is down not able to see his face "the names Brock...Edward Brock...Jun...(he reaches out the window with one arm and then lifts his face and he has black cirlces around his eyes and sweating like if he was sick or going through with draws)....Venom

Well... I don't know how much better that would have been then what they had. Venom can still survive, you remember the sample at Dr. Connor's place? Also, they can easily make it so symbiote get's away. The point thought is Brock is dead, and Sam Raimi hates the character, which is why he killed him off. "you wanted venom, there you go, oh, he's dead, ha ha." SM 4 should be Lizard with Black Cat, maybe. It's does seem kinda hard to fit them together, I guess it depends on what story they want to tell.

Paragraphs in the future would be nice. Otherwise, not the worst fan ending I've read.

If Lizard is used I'd prefer he be with another villain who is really bad. Black Cat isn't a true villain. She's not even really a villain at all. She's more of an anti-hero.

I understand why they did that. PG13 (non horror or comedy) films make more money they R rated ones. But damn Fox who is a BUSINESS for wanting to make the most money they can. Besides Pg13 rating was the least of the films worries and this is coming from someone who was fine with the film.

yes I do think Raimi shouldnt have been pressured to do Venom. But its not really the studio's fault that Raimi put in Peter turning into an emo and all the various bad campy moments in SM3 (that I know of)

if it wasnt for studios, big budget movies, like the one you listed, wouldnt get made.
Are you in the studios? Do you know how every single thing that went down in the studio? No? Then stop blaming studios for ALL the evil that goes on.
